I woke up in my dorm room, feeling the sun on my face which I wasn't use to. The sound of the built-in alarm clock that the school provided me which rang for what seemed like eternity.

I flipped over, hitting the off button. This seemed like a whole new world — a whole new life. Just a few hours ago, I found out I came from a family line that has caused more atrocities than police brutality.

I woke up, throwing on some clothes that I brought with me. A long sleeved, close fitting shirt with black ripped jeans, and combat boots. I straightened my hair, leaving myself somewhat presentable.

I was provided books at the office, given a temporary book bag, and a small journal.

I went into the library, sitting down on one of the many sofas in the room. A few minutes had gone by when below my phone, I saw a pair of heels.

"Excuse me. I'm Lizzie Saltzman, hero, legend, witch. Whatever you want to call me." She said, holding out her hand.

"And you're invading my space." I stood up, looping my book bag around my shoulder.

"I'm sorry, what did you say?" Her tone implied she couldn't believe what she heard,

"I said, you're invading my space."

"I don't think you get it, new girl — "

"Elle." I interrupted her, her eyes looking at me like I just stole her crush.

"I'm sorry about my sister. She's very intuitive." A brunette girl said, standing by Lizzie. She looked related to her, but I didn't say anything.

"All is forgiven. I'm Elle Parker." I said, holding my hand out, signaling the brunette to shake my hand.

"I'm Josie, Josie Saltzman. It's a pleasure to meet you." I released our handshake and started scanning the library.

"Is there something you are looking for?" Josie asked nicely, acting like she wanted to help.

"Yeah, actually there is. I was looking for a book on Malachi Parker." Both of their eyes bulged from their head, looking as if they were a deer in headlights.

"Is there something wrong?" I asked, knowing what the problem was.

"N-nothing. It's right of near the villains area. Search for 'M'. You should find it."

"Thanks," I said walking away before I stopped to say something to Josie, ". . . hey, Josie! We should hang out sometime. Here's my number." I said, walking back and plugging my phone number in.

"For sure, thanks."

I walked over to the villains section, searching for M. I pulled out the book, opening it and started reading. I felt hands of someone snatch it from me. I looked up to to see Alaric with it in his hands.

"Seriously!?"

"Don't you talk to my daughters because you are apart of their coven. If I see you say anything, you'll never get this back."

"You're going to deprive me of knowledge? Now, is that really really what a teacher does?" I said, playfully kidding around.

"Don't test me."

I walked to my first class, which basically was preaching about how witches are stronger together when performing a spell.
