Christmas Land

It's 1999, it's snowing lightly there's snow on the ground with children throwing snowballs & making snow angels. The smell of pumpkin pies & wood burning fireplaces fill the air while the sound of carolers & laughter fills the air. There are people all around from little ones to elderly enjoying the beautiful white wonderland all the trees are covered in Christmas lights strung all around them from the trunk to the tippy top. No one could wren this beautiful day not even the Grinch. As the snow falls to  the ground with hot chocolate in my hands warming my mittens covered hands. While I'm enjoying the snow and watching the hustle bustle of people shopping, I feel the urge to find someone to spend Christmas with me other then my kitties which this year is their first Christmas in a loving home, not just a foster home or the shelter they came from which I volunteer at since my freshman year of high school and now I'm a sophomore in college so about 6 years. Then I look up from my cup of hot chocolate & see a handsome man who I have seen on campus several times I think if I can remember his name it may be Jackson. He is really smart and quite and wore dark nice army grade glasses & he has nice slicked back blond with a dash of red hair. I walk up to him and say "hi" he freezes and hesitates to say "hi" back, which I get he is nervous around girls, girls only use him for his brains to get the answers on there assignments. But under all that shyness lays a sweet normal everyday kinda guy who would do anything for a girl to not use him for once to love him for the way he is & how sweet & considerate he is about others feelings instead of his own feelings. Once I started getting him talking we started walking through the shopping center and got to know each other and then I asked him if he would like to come to my place and watch an old Christmas movie or watch something on Hallmark. He gladly accepted my invite so we walked to my car and drove to my apartment. We got their my kittens where snuggled up together by my small fireplace. I told him to make himself at home while I make some peppermint hot chocolate. Came back into the small living room and sat down next to Jackson and turned on the tv, I started to get cold so I got up to go get a blanket then Jackson grabbed my arm, then I fell back into his lap making our lips collide into a kiss. I suddenly pulled away and got up while Jackson was still in shock from the kiss. I walked away and got the blanket & then I slowly started falling asleep leaning closer and closer to Jackson that's when I felt an arm come around me to lay on my side falling asleep to that amazing feeling of having someone to hold you, the warmth of someone else's body against you. Then I felt him slightly kiss my cheek. It made me feel so conferrable and warm. When I woke up Jackson was asleep with his arm still around me. Then I slowly moved his arm off of me so I could get up and go to the bathroom. When I got back Jackson was awake and playing with snow & flak with one of their toy mice. I snuck up on Jackson & surprised him with a kiss which he gladly returned. Then we pulled away he then stud up and put one of his hands on my waist and the other on the side of my neck & placed a kiss on my lips then he pulled away & said to me "I love you", I always have loved you when I went home for Thanksgiving my family asked me if I had a girlfriend, I told them, no but I will make the most gorgeous girl I have ever laid eyes on mine by Christmas, and I want that girl to be u, my love, I had nothing to say all I could do was get four words out " I love u too." Then he popped the question of " will you be my girlfriend." I stud there surprised at what he just asked me. In that very moment, he stands up and put his hands on my small waist, that's when I came back to reality and said "yes" to him, he then leaned down and kissed my lips softly, I returned the kiss back. Then we both pulled away and looked into each other's eyes and he then picked me up and swung me around in a circle.
