Ⅰ. When I had nothing else to watch I clicked the first anime I laid my eyes on; which so happen to be fairy tail. I ended up being obsessed with it. (This was late 2013 moving to 2014)
Ⅱ. When I watched fairy tail I was still a few months new to the anime world and I didn't know what fanfiction was or manga (fairy tail is the first manga I ever read) and I ended up discovering fanfiction on fanfiction.net and wattpad. Long story short I always thought I was going to read and never write them. I then started to wonder what it would be like to write a story about them and manipulate a story to end how I wanted it to. This influenced me to start writing and I am so happy I did.
Ⅲ. I have three all-time favorites which is; -starrygruvia wiltedbliss and someone who left and deleted her account awhile ago @serigakily. Grasea writing style and the way she words it and oh my fucking god just everything she writes makes me cry and puts all of my books to shame because god damn how could one write so damn well? Calista makes me shrivel into a ball and cry. Her stories make me want to jump off a bridge and drown. Her writing and transitions and the way she would describe a situation is just so damn good! Please read her stories like right now. And lastly, Vanessa. She is not on wattpad anymore but I love her so much because she is the one who got me writing in third person. Her stories were so damn well written too like I wish she kept her account on wattpad so you all could get a chance to read her stories but unfortunately that is not possible anymore, although she does write on AO3.
Ⅳ. It might be obvious but it is definitely Juvia. I fucking love her so much and when I thought she died -oops a spoiler- I literally cried a whole damn week waiting for the next chapter to come out to confirm if she was dead or not. I never felt that big of an emotional attachment to a anime character before either.
Ⅴ. My favorite is another obvious one; gruvia. I love it to death and I didn't ship them at the beginning of Fairy tail but the more I watched them and how their relationship progressed I just loved the shit out of their ship.
Ⅵ. I would have to say the tartaros arc. Because to me, that's when shit was going down and things were getting interesting. Like when Wendy was fighting so hard for her dragon force and everyone just overall had a whole power up and I love the fuck out of it. That's when Gray and Juvia also got closer too and Gajeel and Levy had a moment.
Ⅶ. I love just everything about the fandom really. You get to meet new people and relate on ships talk about what happened in the new chapter/episode.
It's literally the best feeling ever.
And it really brings out the talent in everyone; making fanfics, drawing doujinshis, making amv's, etc.
