Jungkook and Jimin are in elementary school, Jungkook's parents had decided to move into the same apartment complex as Jimin's parent for three reasons, one for the kids, two it was cheaper, and it was closer to their work. Jungkook and Jimin were extremely excited they went to the same school that was about five minutes away so their parent would walk with them in the morning and then in the afternoon both of them would walk back together.

While in kindergarten Jungkook had heard stories from teachers about kids being taken away from their friends and families, out of curiosity Jungkook had asked why the kids were taken the teacher had answered with many things but one reason that stood out to him was 'because they were adorable and cute' when he heard that he instantly thought about Jimin and he became worried. Once they were home Jungkook had asked his parents if he can take martial arts classes, when his parents asked why he answered 'to protect my Jiminie hyung'. Nancy thought she would faint by the adorableness of her son while her husband tried to control his feelings, both of them agreed to let him take classes so they signed him up for Taekwondo classes. Everyday for the next three years he would go to the class and when he returned he would show Jimin some easy moves just in case something were to happen to him if Jungkook wasn't there to protect him.

Now they were 8 years old and in the beginning of third grade Jungkook became the top student in his martial art class, the teacher had told his parents that there was no need for him to continue since he had learned everything that he could have taught him. Since Jungkook had went to the classes everyday unlike others who go on only the weekends or three times a week he was able to learn every move quickly. Jungkook's parents had stopped taking him to the classes and decided to buy him some small equipment so that he would still remember the moves and keep his body in shape. Jimin on the other hand would come over everyday and watch Jungkook practice and once in a while the younger would teach the older some moves.

One day as the two of them were walking Jimin was playing with a penny he found on the ground and Jungkook was telling him how a boy was talking to his friends about how Jimin looked girly and not at all like a boy, as Jungkook was about to get into how he hit the boy Jimin dropped the coin making it roll into an alley. Jimin hesitated about going after it but decided to anyways, Jungkook was directly behind him which made him feel safe, Jimin quickly picked the penny up and was about to walk back to the sidewalk when he heard a voice.

"Where do you two think you are going?" A voice asked.

Jimin and Jungkook turned towards the voice and saw a man with a long black coat that reached to his knees. Jimin immediately shuffled towards Jungkook's side who instantly placed his hands on his waist and pulled him closer.

"We're going home sir" Jimin answered looking up at the man who only smiled. "Oh really but how about I show you my cute puppy I have him back at home, do you want to come with me? it won't be long" the man said as he held out his hand towards Jimin. "We have to ask permission from our parents first" Jungkook spoke up, the man immediately looked at him with a frown. "You have a point there kid how about you go and ask for permission and your cute and adorable friend stays here to keep me company since I get very lonely" the man suggests as he smiles towards Jimin who shifts closer to Jungkook. Though Jungkook was instantly taken back to his kindergarten teacher telling them about the kidnappings of children, Jungkook immediately pulls Jimin to his chest when he see's the man going for Jimin's arm.

"We'll both go ask for our parents permission, you just wait here" Jungkook said as he turned around and began to walk towards the sidewalk while he pulled Jimin with him as he held his hand.

"You should have just gone by yourself kid you could have lived a good life" the man said as he harshly pull Jimin towards him forcing Jungkook's hold on Jimin's hand to disappear. Jimin immediately began to thrash around and cry out to Jungkook as he held his hand out towards the younger wanting to feel his warmth. Jungkook immediately moved towards his hyung but stopped when the man held Jimin by his throat.

"Don't move kid or I'll hurt him" Jungkook immediately stopped in his tracks he turned towards Jimin who now had tears in his eyes, "you'll be fine hyung" Jungkook assured. Jungkook looked up to the man who had a smirk and began to walk backwards, Jungkook past a small look towards Jimin hoping he remembers what it means.

Flashback-

"Hyung I want to teach you something in case you are ever grabbed from behind" Jungkook told Jimin.

Jimin only nodded and walked towards the younger, when he was arms reach Jungkook had pulled him close and turned him around so his back was pressed against his chest his arm had a tight grip on Jimin's arm and he had his other hand on Jimin's neck.

"Now Hyung if you are ever in this position there are a few things you can do, one if the person is around your height and you can hit them in their stomach with your elbow and peel their hands off." Jungkook asked Jimin to try the move, but Jimin refused since he didn't want to hurt the other, Jungkook assured him he will be fine in the end Jimin did as he was told which ended with him free from Jungkook's hold and Jungkook on the ground.

"Kookie what if the person is taller than me and I can't hit their stomach?" Jimin asked as he helped the younger up off the ground.

"Well you could step on their foot very hard and bite their hand or wrist and run away" Jungkook said as he stared at Jimin.

"Thank you for teaching me some moves Kookie but I don't think I'll ever need to use them since I'll always have you by my side to protect me" Jimin said as he smiled.

"Still Hyung if I ever give you a certain look remember these moves I don't ever want to lose you" Jungkook said as he pulled Jimin into a tight hug.

End of flashback

Jungkook stared hopefully at Jimin wishing that he remembers the moves.

"Walk home kid you can't save you frie-AHH WHAT THE HELL?!" The man screams, Jimin had stomped on the mans toes and was now biting his hand. The man pushed Jimin away as he grabbed his hand trying to stop the bit of blood that was oozing out, Jimin ran towards Jungkook once he stood up from the ground and both of them ran as fast as they could hand in hand screaming out for help when they noticed the man chasing after them.

As they ran towards the apartment complex Jungkook caught site of his father talking with someone. "APPA HELP!" He screamed out earning the attention of everyone around them, Jungkook felt Jimin's hand slip out of his making him turn around seeing the man carrying Jimin over his shoulder and running the opposite direction. Without a thought Jungkook ran after them hearing his father behind him yelling for him to stop. Jungkook made eye contact with Jimin as he ran causing him only to run faster just as he was arms reach the man was grabbed and pushed down causing Jimin to to fall but luckily Jungkook was able to catch him.

Jungkook pulled his best friend towards him tightly not thinking of ever letting him, Jimin wrapped his arms around Jungkook's wastes and cried. "I'm sorry hyung, I said that I would protect you but still couldn't please forgive me" Jungkook cried as he place his face against Jimin's head, Jimin only shook his head against Jungkook's chest "Kookie you saved me, you didn't leave my side at all and if it wasn't for the moves you taught me I would have never been able to get away" Jungkook felt relief from Jimin's words. Jungkook looked up and saw his father holding the kidnapper down while police officers made their way towards them and handcuffed the man.

Once the man was taken to the precinct an officer began to ask the two children questions which Jungkook mostly answered since Jimin was still afraid, Nancy and Rose came running towards them hugging both of the boys at the same time since they wouldn't let each other go. After that day Jungkook and Jimin waited at school for one of their parents to show up so that they can walk to back home. Jungkook became a lot more possessive of his hyung after that day, his parents found it adorable how much Jungkook loved Jimin.
