Dilemma POV

I tapped my pen back and forth on my desk, anxiously watching the clock like a hawk. It felt as if I was trapped in a timewarp, every single millisecond moving in slow motion. Nothing I could do would make time pass by any faster. It's been 2:58 for what feels like 10 WHOLE MINUTES! I'm just waiting for someone to walk through Mr. Peterson's door and say the clock's are broken again.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVED school. I mean my social rankings were off the charts, from volleyball to gymnastics, to theatre club. It's just everybody needs a break sometimes, even me. It can be tiring juggling all 3 curriculum activities, and homework, and still have time for me. But, it was finally 2:59, which meant only 60 seconds until my friday actually started. Friday's meant no curriculum activities, which meant me and Chase's annual T.G.I.F sleepover.

Who's Chase you may ask? Chase is my bestfriend. Our parents were kinda close, so we have been together since birth. We've took baths together, been to every single family event together, and had MILLIONS of sleepovers, literally can't count them on my fingers nor toes. Chase has always been there for me, through thin and thick.

When we were younger I was the quiet, shy type. I didn't talk to anybody but family and Chase, not even my teachers. I would just write down what ever I had to say and hand it to the teachers. The other students thought I was a weirdo because I didn't talk, and I didn't make any friends besides Chase. Kids would pick on me because I was very passive and didn't say anything.

They'd call me names like  "Mime", "Deafie", and "Mute". They would tease me and push me around. Not when Chase was around though, Chase had a temper and would taunt the kids for bothering me. Chase often spent a lot of time in that principal's office because of me. I felt bad but, Chase always found a diamond out of a rut and made good with what he had.

"Hey, this means I have a vacation from school Dilly! Isn't that great."

He would say with a smirk and a sparkle in his big brown eyes.

Anyways, back to the annual T.G.I.F. sleepover. It's kind of a tradition, Chase and I made up in 6th grade when his Dad died so, we'd remain close. Chase's Dad was an ex-marine soldier, who died in battle in Vietnam. I've only remembered seeing Mr. Dawson only a handful of occasions my whole entire life. He was always away at work but, this never changes how strongly Chase felt for him.

When Mr. Dawson died Chase's mother went crazy and, child protective services didn't think it was safe for Chase and his sister, Bailey, to live with her anymore.  They ended up living with their Grammy. Although it was only 2 blocks away, I was always use to Chase's family living across the street from me. I thought everything would change for us, and Chase was my only friend, my bestfriend.

I couldn't throw all that away so, we made a pact. No matter what, we'd make a way to always have a sleepover on friday's so nothing would change between us. Chase came up with the name "annual T.G.I.F sleepover", because well frankly he hated school and loved his friday's. Ever since then, we kept our pact and never missed a sleepover.

Riiiinnngggg!!!!

School was finally over.

Well hello to my lovely friday!!!

I walked down the hall towards Chase's locker. I always rode with Chase's to and from school. Today we we're going to his house, that's always been where our annual T.G.I.F sleepovers were hosted. There's too many complications at my house to have them there but, we'll get into that later.

"Dilly!" called a familiar voice

He had chiselled cheeks, with a toned masculine body type. He ran fingers through his dark ash like, hair. His hair was a light fine upswept kind of do, which was shaved at the sides. His lightly blushed lips pinched together as if it were glued. And those eyes...
