The Baby - A One-Shot

"Can you believe it?" Jennie spoke all of a sudden as she and Lisa got out of the huge apartment where Jennie had been living with Lisa, Chaeyoung and Jisoo for a while now.

Jennie was smiling from ear to ear as she said that, clinging on to Lisa's arm and gently leaning her head towards her shoulder.

Lisa felt a sudden rush of blood going to her cheeks - whatever Jennie had in mind, she couldn't believe it - she was always on cloud nine whenever they had sweet moments like this.

"I believe I can believe it..." Lisa defied her thoughts. "Even though sometimes it seems like it's all just a beautiful dream, I believe it's real, and I believe you're real..." She then paused as she looked at a confused Jennie. Lisa then added:

"And I believe the two of us together are real..." She then leaned in and gave Jennie a sweet kiss on the nose, making Jennie blush instantly. Lisa heard Jennie's giggles and she felt proud that she did that.

We've been together for a year and five months and I still can't get over the fact that she has the most precious laughter in the world. Lisa mused as she looked at Jennie with a smile. Lisa then spoke again:

"It's been one year and five months since I asked you to be with me hehe" Lisa beamed proudly as she said that.

"And one year and five months since I accepted your request to be your girlfriend!" Jennie beamed even more proudly, puffing her chest and raising her chin, wanting to kiss Lisa.

Lisa then quickly gave Jennie another kiss, this time on the lips and they both smiled at each other.

"You know what else I can't believe?" Jennie asked again.

"I'm pretty sure I can guess, but I want you to say it this time" Lisa replied with a smile as they were now entering a park where they wanted to spend their day.

"A year ago, on this very freaking day, you told me you loved me"

"True... Well, technically, you said it first hehe" Lisa grinned and Jennie chuckled.

"Yeah... Can you believe how many things related to us happened on the 23rd?" Jennie asked.

"I bet that if someone dug into it, they would probably find more" Lisa replied and the two continued their walk through the park happily.

It was a colder day in September and Jennie and Lisa were both wearing warmer clothes. At one point, they put on their scarves around the lower part of their faces and lowered their hats so that they wouldn't be recognized by fans. They enjoyed interacting with them, but today, they felt like they needed a day for themselves.

"So, what do you think... Is there something going on between Chaeyoung and Jisoo?" Jennie asked as they were walking through the park.

"Chaeyoung and Jisoo? What do you mean? Are they fighting or?" Lisa was surprised and confused by this question.

"Haha... No, I meant... romantically." Jennie replied.

"Uhm... I don't think so..." Lisa was even more confused now. She then added: "I mean, Chaeyoung hasn't mentioned anything to me... And I think she would've mentioned it since we're best friends" Lisa responded.

"I know, I know, but maybe she thought it would be awkward since, you know... You and Jisoo used to date..."

"Huh... I never thought of it that way... But, it wouldn't be awkward for me, I'd be okay with that"

"You sure? Your best friend and your ex being together... You'd be okay with that?" Jennie asked with a smirk on her face.

"Why wouldn't I be? We all agreed that Jisoo has changed. Like a lot. She's a much better person now than she was when we broke up, you said so yourself" Lisa replied confused again.
