Suprising Confession

Y/N POV

As Jungkook and I were walking, I noticed him acting a little weird. He looked nervous about something and I just couldn't figure out what. So I decided to speak up first.
"Jungkook, I know you want to tell me something. So just go for it!"
"I don't know how to tell you. I feel like we would get super awkward with each other if I told you."
I didn't understand what he meant by that, so I just kept pushing him to tell me.
"Jungkook. Say what you want to say."

"I LIKE YOU"

"WHAT?!"
"I told you what I wanted to say, and I did tell you that it would get super awkward between us if I told you!"
That totally wasn't what I expected. I froze for a second before answering.
"But you know that I like Mark and he likes me too. And we are dating each other. I'm sorry Jungkook, but I have to reject you!"
After I said that, I saw the sparkle in his eyes disappear and that broke my heart a little.
"Kookie, you know I love you but only as a friend. And don't worry. We won't become awkward. I'm sure you will find someone who shares the same feelings as you!"
After I said all of that, we headed back to everyone else. I guess they noticed that something was off between me and Jungkook, since he was keeping his distance from me. After everyone went to sleep, Mark decided to speak up about the tension between me and Jungkook.
"So, what happened while you were away? You both seem suspicious."
I honestly didn't know, how to tell Mark about it. In the end, I just gathered my courage and told him.
What happened afterwards wasn't what I was expecting.
