"O.M.G. I just love One Direction so freaking much," squealed a girl in my class named Tiffany.
"I know right! Zayn is so hot, I just might die," replied her best friend, Kendall. I rolled my eyes. Wasn't dealing with my twin sister, Palmer, fangirling enough? I sighed in annoyance.
"You read my mind," laughed one of my best friends, Xander, "It's like you're one of the only sane girls left," he laughed. He brushed some of his brown hair out of his dark brown eyes.
"With Palmer AND Emma being all fangirly, it's driving me crazy," I said.
"Speak of the devil," said Xander as Emma walked into our Physics classroom. Her One Direction t-shirt didn't exactly fit with her long flowy black skirt, heels and a choker with spikes on them, heavy eye makeup, and black bobbed hair. Despite her er..uniqueness..Emma and I have been best friends since kindergarten. I met Xander when we started in sixth grade, and I try not to act too close with him because Em gets jealous really easily.
"Avery!!!!" Emma said when she made it over to me.
"Emma!!" I said back in the same tone she said it to me.
"You'll never believe what I bought last night!" she put her bag on my onto my desk. I looked in and saw four or five barbies.
"Um, nice, cool dolls," I said not wanting to make her feel bad.
She rolled her eyes, "Not just any dolls!" she said, "They're One Direction dolls!"
I looked back in the bag and realized that the dolls did resemble members of a certain British boyband. "Oh, cool," I said trying not to hurt her feelings.
"What do you do with them? Undress them?" snickered Xander.
"Xander!" I said giving him the "don't you dare make Emma angry" look.
"Er, sorry, Emma," he mummbled.
"I'll show you what I do with them after school, Avery," said Emma, "Can I come over?"
"Sure, at six-thirty, I have swimming till five and I have homework untill six," I said.
"Okay, I'll meet you then, in your basement, unlock your door," said Emma.
I rolled my eyes, Emma was all superstitious about entering through the front door at my house, claims that the spirits there don't welcome her. Ever since 8th grade Emma's been a bit...off. Most people just say she's really emo, and I guess they could be right. "Okay," I sighed. Emma sat down and joined in Kendall and Tiffany's conversation on something about a guy named Larry and carrots. They were never nice to her untill they found out that she likes One Direction, funny how that works. I returned to my book Avalon High that I was reading for the third time since I got it from the library four days ago. The bell rang, so I looked up. The teacher wasn't there yet so I turned back to my book and continued to read.
"Open your books to page 314," said our teacher walking in. Xander nudged me to stop reading, and I quickly put my book down. I opened my physics book and listened to my teacher drone on.
The rest of the school day was boring, as usual. Senoir year was something I had always looked forward to when I was younger, but now that it was actually going on, it was really nothing special. Plus, with three A.P. classes and being on swim team, It didn't seem like my life could get any busier. Unlike Palmer, my twin. She barely has enough credits to graduate, but she couldn't care less. Or at least she acts that way in front of her friends. In reality, she's scared to death that she won't graduate this year, so sometimes she has me to take exams for her. One of the benefits of being identical. After classes ended, had a tough work-out at swimming and the rest of my lane almost witnessed the return of my lunch. I showered off after practice and started to get changed.
