I sighed to myself and pushed my cake to the side.
"You okay Ryuzaki?" Light asked "You always eat your cake no matter what."
"I'm worried about Skye." I said and swiveled in my chair
"I'm sure she's fine." he comforted me
That's strange. I thought to myself He was just as distraught as me a couple days ago. Why's he sound so calm all of a sudden?

I let Light leave early and sent Matt to follow him. After several hours Matt came back out of breath as if he just ram a marathon.
"It's Skye." he said "Light found her."
My eyes widened and we rushed to where he said she was. We waited outside the house and saw her leave the house.
"I'm just gonna do some target practice with some cans and bottles. I'll be back in about fifteen minutes." she called and walked off while pulling a hood over her head
We waited for her to be out of sight then went inside. The boy seemed scared.
"I-I'm sorry. I think have the wrong house." He said as he walked over to the fireplace.
He threw some timber into it and lit it.
"No, were looking for Skye. We know she stays here." I explained "She's possibly a threat to national security and we have to take her into custody."

I began walking back to the cabin but stopped when I saw smoke coming from the chimney. I made sure to stay out of view so the I couldn't be spotted from the cabin and snuck around the back. Everyone was facing the door. I got lucky. I crept up on the the guy who was holding Alex and knocked him out with the butt of the rifle. I heard someone cock a gun to my right and turned, not wasting a second in shooting them in the thigh. My eyes widened when I realized I had shot Mello.
"Bloody hell Mello!" I yelled "I could have killed you. Why are you here?"
I heard the guy I knocked out wake up with a groan. I turned to shoot him but stopped when I saw it was Light's father. I looked around and realized that everyone here was from the task force.
I re-aimed my rifle, pointing it right at L's face.
"Explain." I growled
"Woah, Skye." Matt said "Calm down."
"Don't tell me to calm down!" I yelled with tears pricking my eyes, not taking my eyes off L "He's betrayed me once, I'm not giving him the chance to do it again."
"Skye, I'm just worried about you." L said
"You don't have the right to worry about me asshole." I said and adjusted my aim "Now explain."
"We were going to bring you back into custody." he said "We set up a floor for you. You'd live like Misa where you have your own floor. You'll live in the penthouse and we can monitor you without having to put you in a cell."
"I'm not going anywhere." I said
There was a knock at the door before Light walked in.
"Did you tell them I was here?" I cried
"I followed him." Matt said before he could say anything "He had no idea."
"They want me to go back." I told him and lowered my rifle while walking over to him
"It's not that bad anymore." Light said "I didn't like them putting you in that cell and tried to get them not to but now they have a floor for you."
He hugged me and I slumped into his embrace.
"So you think I should go?" I asked
"They'll take you into custody one way or another." he sighed "If you go willingly, they won't restrain you."
"But do you think I should go?" I repeated
"Yes." I said and hugged me tighter
"Okay." I said quietly into his chest and put the safety on my rifle before dropping it
I pulled my cape off and dropped it to the floor as well. I felt L place a hand on my shoulder but I slapped it away and glared at him.
"I can still shoot you." I hissed "This doesn't mean I forgive you."
I hugged onto Light and let him lead me out. I got into the back of the van with Light and the rest of the task force got into the van we were in or the second van. We got back to the base and Light led me up to the floor I was supposed to stay in. I turned to Light with puppy eyes.
"Can you stay up here with me for a while?" I asked
"Sure." he smiled

We were sitting on the couch watching a movie but I got bored of just sitting. I looked over at Light and bit my lip slightly.
