~*~WARNING VERY EMOTIONAL *~*
It had been five years since the night little Abigail was kidnapped out of her own room. Sam, Katrina, and Colby all set out to find her but couldn't find her. The police looked and couldn't find her either. The police had said they were ending the case and stopping the search and had concluded that she was dead.
Present Day
Abby's POV
It was finally dark out. I had got myself a plan get back to Michigan from North Carolina. since it was dark and everyone had fallen asleep I slipped through the basement window. I got a few cuts from the glass but I was okay. I snuck through the yard and down the block. As soon as I was far enough away from that death trap I ran. I kept running and running. I ran all the way to the police station. I opened the door and went up to the front desk
"Hello welcome to the NCPD what can we do for you? A woman said not breaking her gaze from her paperwork
"I need to get home," I told her
She looked up at me. She how I looked. My clothes were dirty and torn.
"What's your name honey?" She asked me
"Abigail. Abigail Golbach" I told her
"Wait, your Abigail Golbach? she asked
"Yes, I am," I told her
"You have been reported dead. The police gave up on looking for you." She said
I started to cry a little bit, "I want to go home," I told her
"Where do you live honey?" She asked me
I gave her my address. she had purchased me a plane ticket to get back home. She drove me to the airport. I thanked her many times. When the plane landed I got off and I made my way slowly. I made my way to the street I lived on. I ran and ran on the sidewalk. 205, 207,209, 211, 213! I made it home!! I walked up the front steps to the door. I turned the doorknob and opened it.
"I'm Home!!" I yelled
Sam's POV
"Sam hon, come on. Get up now, please" Katrina begged
I said nothing
"Baby, you can't stay in here any longer. You've been in here since they stopped the search last week," Katrina said
I said nothing again
"Sam please," She begged
"Katrina this is my fault, You were the one worrying about sending her to school. I told you that it would be fine and look what happened. She is gone, Kat. We can't get her back now," I said still laying down on the bed not breaking my gaze from the ceiling.
"Sam," She said
I closed my eyes and all of the memories that we made ran through my head. Katrina came and laid on the bed next to me. She kissed me trying to help me but it didn't work We then hear someone from downstairs yell "I'm home" we get up and run downstairs to find Abby standing in the doorway. I ran up to her crying and grabbed her. I pulled her into a hug. She wrapped her arms around my neck. We all cried. Katrina joined in with us. We let go. My face was red and puffy from all of the cryings I did. I held her shoulder. I looked into her face,
"You're 13 now, Look at you, You are so beautiful. Honey, I'm sorry." I said
"I missed you, Daddy, I missed you, Momma," She said with tears pouring through her eyes.
Colby walked up on the front porch. When he looked up at me from his phone and saw my face all red from crying he seemed concerned. When Abby turned around And they made eye contact he started to cry
"Uncle Colby!" She yelled as she sprung up to hug him. He knelt down and hugged her. He started crying too.
Just then, Mochi came walking out of Colby's room and Abby saw here
"Mochi? Come here, girl!" She yelled while patting her legs
The dog ran towards her and toppled her. The last time Abby saw Mochi, she was just a little puppy, now she is a big beautiful dog. Mochi liked Abby's face clean of all the dirt and grime
I looked at my daughter. She was skinner. When she looked up at me the hurt in her eyes shone through.
"You dyed your hair," Abby said to Katrina
"Yeah, it was for Instagram," Katrina said
She grabbed Abby and cradled her in her arms. I then started to cry again. It was beautiful seeing my girls together again. They just looked at me then wrapped their arms around me. Just then I ran upstairs. The girls followed me. I grabbed my phone and I made a group call to the old roommates.
"Hello?" I heard Corey say
"What was so urgent?" Jake asked
"Yeah," Aaron said
"Guys," I spoke "Abby is home," I said
"I heard Devyn scream "What!?"
"Hey Devyn," Abby said
"I heard a loud bang on the one line of the phone
"Jake?" I heard Jake's girlfriend Gabby say "Oh my god!" She screamed
"Gabby, is everything alright?" I asked
"Yeah, he just fainted" She replied, "I don't know why though." She said sounding pulled
"Shock," Katrina said " We just told him that Abby is home," She said
She went speechless. That night was very emotional. We spent the night together. It made me feel complete again when I saw my daughter home again. We then fell asleep with Abby between Katrina and me.
