"I'm going out Mom! Be back in a couple hours." Myra yelled while walking out the door

"Be back soon Myra, we will need to leave for the selection soon! We can't be late." Myra's mother yelled back.

"Ya, Ya of course." She muttered to herself. Myra knew very well that today was the selection day, She was the most nervous She had ever been. The selection day was the day that all the sixteen year olds in the kingdom gathered at the castle and the skill masters chose apprentices. Once chosen your group of apprentices moves close to the skill master so they may be taught. Myra knew she would most likely be chosen as a farmer or at most an entertainer. She was nothing special, She came from a poor village on the north side of Caltia, her home kingdom. It was about a two day horse ride away from the castle, so she would need to be home in two hours so that we could make it to an inn by nightfall. Myra was so lost in thought that she bumped in to someone.

"Oh, I'm sorry I wasn't watching where I was going." The guy she bumped into said.

"It's no problem." Myra replied back, she noticed that he seemed a little anxious. "Is something bothering you?" She asked.

"it's nothing, don't worry about. Well I better be going, nice meeting you." He said as he started to turn around and walk away

"You too" Myra said, and continued walking. she was going down to the stream right outside of town to get some extra water for the trip. As she was getting water she couldn't help but wonder who that guy was, she had never seen him before. Since the village is small Myra knew almost everyone there. "Well I don't have time to think about it now. I better be getting back home so we can leave." Myra said to herself as she finished getting the water. The house was a mess when she got home. Thing were everywhere and the trunk was only half packed.

"Whoa Mom, you need some help?" Myra asked because the house really did look like a tornado went through it.

"Yes, can you grab those shirts over there sweetie?" Mom asked. She went and grabbed them and put them in the trunk,

"I will go get the horses prepped and ready to go while you continue packing.  That good with you?" Myra asked her mother

"I'll be fine in here." Her mother responded and half an hour later they were ready and on the road
