Chapter 3

Kennys POV

That night I was sitting alone in my living room, watching reruns of Big Bang Theory, when the apartment door swings open revealing a frantic looking Hayden.

"Hey, Hayd. What's wrong with you?" I chuckled slightly.

"I have a major problem." She stated, flopping down on the couch beside me. "I think I like Zach. And I mean really like him."

"And that's a major problem because..." I looked at her confused. "You two would be like perfect for eachother."

"Maybe. But he would never, in a million years, think of me that way. He treats me like I'm his sister, not that he doesn't already have enough real ones as it is. And besides he only dates beautiful, popular cheerleader types." She looked at me, saw the look I was giving her and sighed. "And don't you dare tell me I'm wrong, you've seen his girlfriends."

"I'm not saying you're wrong, but come on, do you really think he treats you like a sister?" I asked.

"Yes, he taught me how to ride a bike and he used to come over every night when we were younger and read me and the twins bedtime stories because my dad was always out getting drunk and Jason thought he was to cool for us. That sounds pretty brotherly to me." She sighed again.

"That was a long time ago, Hayden. Things are different now. And are you forgetting that he was your first kiss because you were scared you were going to be bad at it when you actually had to kiss someone. I'm pretty sure he wouldn't do that for his sisters." I smiled and nudged her shoulder.

She smiled and stood up. "Ya, I guess you're right. Well I better get back before Caleb and Matt burn the apartment down, they're attempting to make us dinner."

"And you left them there alone? We are all doomed." I laughed as she walked out.

As soon as she was gone my phone started to ring. Zach.

"Hey Zach." I answered.

"Hey Kenn, are you with Hayden?" He asked quietly.

"No, she just left. She left the twins cooking dinner and went to make sure they aren't about to burn the building down." I giggled.

"Is she trying to kill us?" He laughed.

"Apparently. So what's up?" I asked.

"Do you think Hayden likes me?" He replied.

"What?" I almost yelled.

"Well you see, I really like her, which you already know since I've been telling you since we were like 12, and I'm getting sick of waiting to ask her out but I don't want to do it unless I know she likes me to. You are the only person she would talk to about something like that. So, does she?" He was really nervous, I could tell.

"Why don't you ask her yourself Zach?" I suggested.

"No, Kenny, do you know how embarrassing that would be if she said no?"

"Well that's your only option, cause I'm not going to tell you personal things about her." I said.

"Kenny, please." He begged.

"No, Zach. Ask her yourself or keep waiting its up to you." I said, hanging up.

God those two really need to talk to eachother more.
