She was there to do job. Help Dadi get Billuji married to his hoity-toity fiance. The one who has the name, priviledge and status.
She was a no-nonsense (yet nonsensical) girl. She knew her place in the hierarchy of things. It was a job. It paid well.
She got distracted in between with Dadi's warmth, Pinky's dependence on her, Omkara's friendliness, Rudra' s chummy-ness, and more importantly, Billuji's softening.

She forgot. She belongs to a different address, a much less swanky one, a humble one with no nail biting scandals and giant pricetags.
She doesn't know why she let Mallika's dreamy nonsense about true love mess with her common sense. He was the charming Crown Prince of the Oberois. He has had a duty to keep his family up there in the sky.
She was the earth. Grounded, solid ,upright with gravity. Where you stand is where you work. How can she fly with fairies with her feet rooted to the ground?
