It was five days after Ness got back to his home in Onett. The phone suddenly rang, so Ness picked it up expecting to be congratulated by his dad. It was not his dad, but his good friend, Paula. Paula was one of the Chosen Four who has defeated Giygas, along with Ness, Jeff, and Poo. Paula called to ask if she could come over, and Ness said that she could. Right after Paula hung up, Ness called Jeff, and invited him to his graduation which was in ten days. He psychologically contacted Poo to invite him, because Ness was sure he didn't have a phone. Poo and Jeff both agreed to come to Ness's graduation.
"Now," Ness thought, "the hardest part: inviting Paula.
