I soon reached the room I awoke in and I sat down on the soft welcoming bed. I leaned back and let my back and head rest on the soft sheets. I sat there like that for a some time and thought. What do they mean I'm a Mage, wizard or whatever it is and I had/have no clue?! What the heck?! Would that be why they kidnapped me? So since I'm not a wizard will they kill me? I look outside the huge window and sigh as I stare at the smaller buildings below me. The humble homes below seem completely normal and unwizard-like. I see young kids running around and playing with their magic. I see one kid playfully attack the other with what looks like some sort of water magic. The kid gets splashed with the water and his clothes get soaked. I then see him conjure up some of the bark from a nearby tree and playfully smack his arm with it and use it to block his vision. I chuckled lightly at the youngsters playing their games. They were so cute.
"Magic isn't always a bad thing you know." I heard a voice from behind me. I whip my head around to see the one and only Archer. I groaned silently as I saw him standing in the door frame.
"May I come in?" Archer asks. I stared at him for a second before complying.
"I guess so." I respond and turn back around to the town below me. Archer chuckles slightly and walked up to the window sill to stand with me.
"They are cute aren't they? Playing so innocently with their magics."
I rolled my eyes at his statement even though I do agree with what he said. He is just trying to lure me into whatever game he is playing about me having magic, ha!
"You do have magic, it's true. I mean I could take you to Veraci and she could tell you the truth about whether you have magical capabilities, but you wouldn't want that right? You wouldn't want anyone to prove that you do have magic. So you'll refuse so you don't have to admit that you do have magic." Archer scoffed. I laughed out loud.
"You are kidding right? Hahaha! Oh my, I mean seriously, if I have magic I will admit it but magic is cruel. I would rather die than use magic against others. Magic does cruel things to people. Magic kills people. I really don't care if I have magic or if I die because I don't have magic or I die because I do." I laugh. Archer seems completely taken aback by my comment but I only continue laughing. Tears form in my eyes and I'm nearly collapsed on the floor. In my fit of laughter Archer nearly leaves the room but before he could I call out.
"You know what Archer? Common, take me to this Veraci of yours."

After walking down several flights of stairs Archer and I walked into a large room with a middle aged man sitting at a table with a shiny ball on it. The shiny ball sat on a silver pedestal and sparkled and shined from different angles. I walked up to the man with Archer beside me. The man looked up from the wooden table and told me to sit down.
"Well Archer, who do we have here? Did you FINALLY get a girlfriend?" The man chuckles,"she sure is a looker. She's got a nice rack if I do say so myself."
At the sound of this my eyes widen slightly and I frown disapprovingly.
"W-what?!" Archer questions completely flustered.
"You got a good one Archer, but hey she's way too good for you."
"Hey, hey Mike, she is not my girlfriend!" Archer exclaims. His face was as red as a tomato and his eyes were clenched shut in embarrassment.
"Oh, okay then. So she is fair game?" Mike asks with a smirk crawling it's way on to his face. He chuckled slightly and pushed himself up a bit before leaning over the table. As he moved closer to me I I began to lean farther and back. He continued to lean forward and I couldn't back up anymore.
What should I do? This guy is a creep and he is getting way too close for comfort! Oh my god what is he going to do?! How can I get out of this?
The man grabs my face in two hands and pulls me towards him. I lurch forward and my bright green eyes go wide. He slightly bows his head and continues to pull me forward, forcing my head into the same position. Our foreheads collide as he focuses deeply on something. I notice a small bead of sweat slip down his face as he continues to concentrate on something. Suddenly the man behind to tremble slightly and sweat barrels down his face. He then immediately pulls away and stares at me in shock and fear.
"She, she, she is a Magus. A powerful one." The man trembled slightly. His gaze shifted from my eyes to Archer. Fear written all over his face. My eyebrows contorted on confusion and I looked to Archer for answer.
"Elaborate." Archer ordered the man.
"She is the wizard of Life." he states and inhales a deep breath of air and tries to calm his shaking voice. "And, of Death."
They both look to me. Their faces twisted with awe and fear.
"She is a wizard of Life and Death. What do you mean? Hey, have you been drinking?"
"No, I'm completely serious. I know for a fact I sensed both the powers of Life and of Death boiling within her. I mean I have heard rumors from other Veraci that there will be a wizard, a special one who can control Life and Death. One who has the power to completely obliterate the world if she wanted to. She is very powerful."
I began to stand up but ended up stumbling backwards. I was numb, my mind was completely blank. No emotions flowed throughout me. Shock, fear, excitement, no! Just one thing; how? I stared at the cement ground nearly demanding the answer. I do not want to be one of the Nasty creatures who killed my parents. I felt hot tears fill my eyes. No, I can't cry. I don't want to cry. I want to leave. I shook the tears away keeping anyone from seeing them.
"I have to go." I responded as calmly as I could before walking into the vacant hallway. I stepped over to the nearest window and leapt off, out of the building.

I saw the edge of a thick, wooded forest and sighed in relief. I raced up to the tall protective plants towering above my head. The lush green towers of wood and foliage surrounded and encased me. Smaller bushes of lighter greens and browns lined the floors. Dirt is everywhere tasked with supporting all the plants throughout the damp, dark, wooded forest.
I smiled as I breathed in the earthy smell of dirt and cedar as I stepped into the plentiful forest. Small creatures scurried on the fertile soil to avoid my footsteps. I walked up to a particularly large tree and leaned against its supportive base before sliding down in defeat. Why? That was all I could ask.
