Chapter 3:
So, Koshka and Violei set off for The Inn in Inland. They set off from their tree house, and began toward the Monkey Forest. Violei fluttered along next to Koshka, who was happily walking along, not caring about anything except how the extremely annoying knapsack kept digging into her shoulder. She shifted it carefully.
"Well... here we are," announced Violei, stopping in front of the forest. "The Monkey Forest."
"Weird how there are no monkeys," said Koshka, examining a guidebook. "It says here that the only inhabitants of this forest are birds and squirrels. And bugs, of course. And, you know, fungi, and whatever, and... like... bacteria... yeah... No monkeys."
"That's so wrong!" exclaimed Violei. "I must change that! It shall live up to it's name! Um... gimme my spellbook."
Grumbling, Koshka dug through the knapsack, and handed Violei her book. Violei flipped it open. "Let's see... conjuring spells... food... objects... Ah! Animals. Here. Okay... 'Insert name of animal?' Okay. Um... From thin air and ancient realm, I conjure Monkeys! Here to this ground." Violei waved her tiny hands. "Did it work?" She looked at Koshka. Koshka was holding her mouth, her shoulders shaking. "What?"
"You... y-you.... *snort* V-Violei you've got.. g-got..a... a... BWAHAHAHAHA!" Koshka gave in, and fell over, rolling on the ground, laughing hysterically.
"WHAT?!" Asked Violei angrily.
"YOU'VE GOT A MONKEY TAIL! BWA-HAHHAAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!" Koshka shouted, still rolling.
Violei looked down at her backside. Indeed, a curling brown monkey tail had sprung right at the base of her spine. "Oh... Shut up! I wanted one! Now.. at least Monkey Forest has got some reason for its name!!!" She 'reasoned.' Koshka continued to laugh.
Violei angrily flew into the forest. Koshka crawled after her,panting with glee. Her knapsack issue had been forgotten.
