The New Employee

I woke up this morning energized and ready to work, 'till I saw our "new employee". He's about 6 feet tall with dirty blonde hair, blue eyes and the best smile ever, and his body isn't that bad either and he looked about 17 or 18 years old. He looks at me and starts walking towards me. I slightly notice.

"Hey" He said

"Umm hi?" I say shyly

"What are you doing here?" He asks

"I work here."

"I thought you'd work in a cleaner and cooler place."

"And I never thought we'd have a new recruit, guess we were both wrong." I say in a snobbish way.

"Well I'll just let you be then." He says then slowly walks away.

"Wait!!" I yell

He turns around and walks back to me.

"Yeah?."

"Sorry about that I'm not good with new people working here I just think we have enough people, that's all."

"It's fine, I'm no good with jobs anyways... And my name is Cory if you wanted to know." He said kindly.

"Howdy Cory, I'm Matthew but you can call me Matt or Matty or anything you want, I really don't mind." I reply with a smile.

"Well it's nice to meet you Matt, I'm guessing that you're the only one here my age right?" He asked.

"No there's also Courtney" I reply

"Wait...so a girl works here too?"

"Yeah, just take this in mind...don't under estimate her, she's a lot stronger and wiser then most girls."

"Awesome where is she?" He asked excitedly

"She is right here..." Said Courtney

"Yeah she's my "partner" in here."

Courtney and Cory both look at me and raise their eye brows and together they say "partner?"

"Yeah, I mean like you and I are a team."

"A team? I think you mean we work good together."

"Yeah like a team...but anyways, she may be a girl but she has more power than you expect, and she's smarter than most girls."

"Thanks Matt but I could have told him that myself."

"Guys enough with the chit-chat and get back to work, these crates won't carry themselves in will they?" Said an older employee.
