"Daddy!" A loud cry came from Steve's room.
Sam jumped up off the couch and ran to the little's room. Steve was sitting on the floor holding his arm. The little's teddy bear was on the ground next to him.
"Hey, what's wrong big guy?" Sam asked softly kneeling down in front of the crying boy.
"Owie." Steve looked up at Sam with large tear filled eyes.
"Can I see it?" Sam asked.
Steve sniffed and nodded. He moved his hand and held out his arm to Sam. Sam was surprised, normally Steve would have just run into something and maybe have gotten a bruise, but there was a two inch gash on his arm.
"Oh love, what happened?" Sam asked gently
"I-I was playin' with teddy a-an I tripped, I hit my arm on th-the toy box." Steve cried.
"Come here." Sam opened his arms to Steve, "Daddy knows how to make owies better."
Sam took Steve into the living room and set him down on the couch. He grabbed the first aid kit and pulled out some band aids and alcohol. Steve instantly pulled his arm away when Sam grabbed the rubbing alcohol.
"I know buddy." Sam whispered as he gently ran his fingers through Steve's hair, "I need to clean it so it doesn't get infected. Can you be really brave and let me clean it?"
Steve really didn't want to get it cleaned but he wan't to show his daddy that he was brave. So he held out his arm for Sam to clean the cut. Sam cleaned the small cut and placed two band aids over it. He kissed the band aids cover the cut, he knows that Steve always say that kisses make owies go away.
"Better?" Sam asked, rubbing Steve's shoulder.
The little gave a small sniffle, "Uh huh." Steve nodded.
Sam sat down next to Steve and pulled him into his lap, "You were so brave my little soldier."
"I love you Daddy." Steve smiled at Sam.
"I love you too Steve." Sam replied, placing a kiss on his little boy's cheek, "How about you and Daddy watch a movie?"
"We need Teddy first." Steve said perking up.
"Well then let's go get Teddy." Sam pulled Steve onto his back.
