Hi, I am an eighteen-year-old girl with long brown chocolate hair. I live with my mum and younger brother James. I think I must be an athlete as I train for the heptathlon. Which is where I got my muscles, which form my curvy body. But despite my strong muscles, I am the shortest in my collage year. My best friend Olivia is in the same school year but almost has a full year on me. I am young as possible to be in the year that I am, and Olivia is one of the oldest in the year. We train together but are main rivals when competing in championships. She has the advantage in the field events as she is half a foot taller than me, but I give her the slip on the track to balance it out.

"Laura, James come to the kitchen now!" Mum calls up the stairs.

"Coming." I head out of my room and head down the stairs with my brother behind me. We walk into the kitchen and sit down on the stools in front of the counter.

"I have booked your first ever holiday. I finally got enough money and booked a week off both jobs at the same time."

"About time." My younger brother groans.

"Where we are going?" I say trying to mask my excitement.

"Only to the other side of the country, to the state you were born no less."

"So, Montana."

"Yes, my dear I rented a log cabin for the week."

"Was I born there too?" James asks.

"No but you were conceived there. I was pregnant with you when we left."

"So, Laura was four when you moved?"

"Wow very cleaver James." I say mocking him.

"Now, now Laura be nice to your brother."

"Why did we have to move again?" I ask.

"We needed a chance of a better life away from your father's family and friends."

"Why?" James demanded.

"You are not allowed to know ok."

"Why, didn't dad come with us?" I reply.

"Just go and pack, there are suitcases somewhere in the attic we leave in two days."

"Urr fine." I head up stairs and pull down the ladder to the attic. I go up and find three dusty suitcases at the far end. I pass them down to James who's waiting at the bottom of the ladder one at a time. Once all the suitcases are out I head down the ladder and find that James has already picked a suitcase. I choose the teal one and drag it into my room.

For the rest of the evening I sort out my clothes in piles, depending on which activity there for. I then take out the clothes that don't fit me. Next, I put back the piles I won't need, the winter coats and my business work ware. Finally, I remove the clothes that don't want to take, leaving the clothes that I want to take out to pack in the morning. I know this isn't the most efficient way to pack but it is my first time. My mum wouldn't even let me go any school residentials, due to lack of cash. She didn't even let me go away to compete last summer, despite the athletic club paying for it, probably because James was too young to look after himself. It was only for two day, but with mum working two, long hour jobs its up to me to feed and look after him.

As I laid in bed before falling to sleep, I used my phone to search for the log cabin. I find out that the woods it's in is owned by a privet company that also owns the near by water park. The company also owns a golf course and have just bought a new club, on the other side of the state.
