I was going to sleep over at Rogers today. Not for any specific reason. Just two best buddies hanging out...Okay that was a lie. I asked Roger if I could stay at his place for a week because I've been feeling down lately. My financial status isn't great and I'm at the point of getting kicked out. My parents won't support me cause they think I'm a failure. My brother is so disappointed in me, that he won't even look at me anymore. I haven't done anything, have I? Am I that much of a mistake to them?
All my parents taught me on how to succeed was, get a degree, marry a rich man and get a well-paid job. So much for that. I dropped out because I just couldn't handle Engineering. It was too hard. After that, I started working at a Café in the mean time. My parents kicked me out after that. They were beyond pissed I dropped out. I tried. I really did, but I guess the universe doesn't want me to succeed in life.
The only person, who ever supported me in every choice I made, was Roger Taylor. Roger looked like he could be an asshole, but he's really sweet. He would always make sure I was okay and he made me feel loved. Not that we were together, just— he cared for me, and that's all I really need.
I was walking down the streets towards Rogers place. A 'The Beatles' song stuck in my head for most of the walk. I walked a few more minutes before reaching Rogers place. I knocked on the door a few times before it opened immediately to reveal a shirtless Roger standing in front of me. I suck my breath in as I blush heavily. "Hi Roger," I sigh and plaster a smile onto my face. He smiles back. "Hey Y/N! Come in!" He greets me happily.
His hair was messy and he was only wearing some tight pants. He looked hot. I close the door behind me. It making a clicking sound. I gently rubbed my shoes onto a small carpet that was placed behind the door. I gently took off my heels and placed them in the shoes rack. I walked inside to see him already laying on the couch. I couldn't stop staring at how handsome he truly is. "You look absolutely stunning Y/N," He smiled again at me. I blushed heavily and tucked a hair strand behind my ear. "Thanks," I mumbled softly, just loud enough to hear.
He chuckled at me being flustered by his comment. He patted his hand next him on the couch, signing me to take a seat. I shuffled my feet against the wooden floor as I sat down next to Roger. He looked at me for a second before he smiled softly to himself. I feel my face heat up and I look down. "Sooo, Y/N... How's it been?" He asks, knowing damn well it's not going great. "Usual," I replied with a shrug. "Parents disappointed, brother ignores you and low funds?" He guesses sarcastically. I nod. "Jup," You sigh and look up at the ceiling. "I just don't know why my life is like horse shit." I sigh heavily before leaning back on the couch and now full on staring at the white concrete above me.
"You still have me," Roger moves his hand on top of mine, making my breath hitch. My head turning to look at him. "Thank you," I say grateful to have this wonderful being in your life. I sit up again and lean my head on Rogers shoulder. I pout. Roger looks at me with adoring eyes. He let's out a deep breath while his beautiful eyes look at me again. His long hair barely touching my face as I move closer. "TV?" Roger suggested simply. I nod. Roger grabs the remote and puts on a random channel.
We both sit like this for the next hour or so. Just enjoying each other's company. The warmth of our bodies radiating off each other while sitting in comfort. That was until the 'silence' was broken off by the phone ringing. Roger rolls his eyes and stands up. I'm immediately missing his body warmth. I whine and he chuckles at your response. He picks up the phone.
"Hello, this is Roger Taylor speaking," He greeted the person on the other side. I melted at his voice and accent. "What? Y/Ns here, yeah," He said, looking confused. "Okay," Is all he said before signaling that the phone was for me. I stood up and walked over to the handsome, blonde man before he handed me the phone. "Hello?" I said, my voice a bit groggy from being a little bit tired. "Why the hell are you with that boy again?!" You heard a woman speak over the phone. Of course it was your mother. "Mom, why are you even bothered?" I asked, genuinely not in the mood. Roger keeps listening to my side of the conversation.
"We got you into a University to study Medicines!" She says cheerfully. "Now you can actually not be a disappointment!" She cheers again. I groan. "Really? That's what you say? I don't even want to be in University, mom!" I started to raise my voice, which shocked my mom a little. "You should be bloody grateful! You'll finally have a purpose in life!" Her voice was also starting to get louder. My frustration was getting more by the second. "You can finally pay your bills!" My mom said sternly. I groan again. "You put me on the streets in the first place!!" I was starting to get close to shouting now. My mother scoffed. "I wouldn't have done that if I didn't have such a failed daughter!" She spat at me. "All you do is work at an old café, live in a tiny apartment and sleep with this blonde guy, who might I add, is in a fucking band?? He's not even a Harvard student!"
I was getting so frustrated, tears started to form. "First of all, he's fucking smart. He fucking studied Biology and finished it. Second, he's the only person who actually cares for me, unlike my family full of nonces!" I yelled rudely at her. A silence was now over in the other side of the phone. A good few seconds of nothing but silence, until my mom had to break it again. "No one will ever love you," She said before she hung up. Now there was only beeps coming from the phone. I gently placed it back. I stood there. My back turned to Roger who stood there in shock. He didn't hear what my mom said, but he heard what I had said.
I slowly turned around. Tears threatening to roll down my cheeks. My eyes trained on my feet before I looked up at Roger who has a concerned and worried look on his face. A lump in my throat as I tried to keep it in, but I couldn't. I let it all out. Tears spilling from my Y/E/C eyes, my cheeks getting wetter, sobs escaping my lips as I look at Roger who is walking towards me and wrapping his arms around my waist as he embraces me tightly. I finally let all my emotions out. No more holding back. All of the water that was in my body is now being removed as I let my emotions take over. I put my arms around his neck as I held him. My face buried in the crook of his neck. He held me like I was going to be taken away. I feel so safe in his arms.
He pulls away and leads me upstairs. He enters his bedroom and hands me an oversized shirt of his. I grabbed it. Tears still falling from cheek onto my shirt. "You can sleep in my bed tonight...," He says softly. Roger usually is seen as the badass and none-caring person of the band, but if he cares about you, he's sweet and gentle. "I'll sleep on the couch, it's fine—" My voice sounds broken and raspy. "I insist," Roger smiles sadly at me. I look down again as I fiddled with his shirt. His finger lifted my chin up, making me look at him. I stared into his deep, green eyes as he stared right into mine. His eyes flickering between my lips and eyes. He moves his hand, which is located under my chin, closer towards his face. I feel his breath fanning over my nose. Roger starts to lean in and gently place his lips on mine.My lips gently moving with his as I place my hands on his chest.
I pull away slowly, wanting it to last a little longer. I look at his lips when my eyes slowly flutter open. They're a bit swollen. My eyes trail back up to his green ones as he looks at me with dilated pupils. "I- I-" I start but he cuts me off. "I like you—" He begins but let's out a deep breath. "I love you," He admits. You stand there, admiring his facial features. "I don't care what your family says, I love you for who you are," Roger says, his tone so quiet that he's almost whispering. "You're everything a person should be jealous of a- and I hate seeing you like this," He ends. His eyes are a little glossy and he tries to hold back his tears. My eyes start to get glossy again as a lump is forming in my throat. He let's go of my face as he clears his throat.
"I guess you'd better head off to bed," He changes the subject quickly. "Goodnight," He said before walking past me to open the door. I stop him. "Can you sleep with me? As in, sleeping in the same bed and not having sex," You chuckle a little, making Roger smile. "Okay," He replies softly. I take off my shirt and put Rogers on that he gave me. "Give me a warning first!" Roger jokes. I laugh at his comment before I dive into the covers. Roger changes into his pajama pants and gets under the sheets with me. I snuggle up to him, placing my arm on his chest. His arm around me. The other hand is placed on top of mine.
"Goodnight, love," He whispers, turning off the light. "Goodnight," I replied plainly. Both our eyes slowly closing, until I hear soft snores coming from his mouth.
"I love you too,"
