"Please take the ghosts from my heart; I don't want to be haunted anymore,"

Amber Jade walked through the forest, a rather large golden eagle perched on her right shoulder, while a smaller falcon was perched on the opposite shoulder. The grass beneath her boots gave a satisfying crunch before a rustle in a bush north-east of her caught her birds' attention. The golden eagle lifted off silently, as the falcon imitated her & quietly propelled herself from her shoulder. Amber Jade glared at the rustling bush & her cat-like pupils tightened at her target. She reached for an arrow from her quiver & delicately held it between her middle-finger & her fore-finger, she grabbed her bow with her other hand. Holding back the string, she wound up her arrow & let loose. The arrow swiftly shot from the bow & hit the tree behind the rustling in the bush, closely missing the creature.

The bush yelped, Amber Jade's head tilted slightly & she narrowed her vivid-orange eyes, intensely glaring at the bush.

"Bushes don't yelp..." She confirmed as she reached for another arrow, but before she could draw back the string of her bow, a pair of hands quickly shot up from behind the bush. Her eyes widened, but then her shocked expression turned stoic & she rolled her eyes. Making her way towards the bush, she leaned over & saw her sister trembling in a pile of leaves & twigs.

"You're an idiot, you know that right?" Amber Jade deadpanned but disgruntedly held her hand out for Amy to grab. Amy's ears pricked up at the sound of her sister's voice, & she gave a sheepish smile. She grabbed Amber Jade's gloved hand & pulled herself to her legs swiftly, Amber Jade harshly brought her hand back, which made Amy's eyes soften. She brushed herself down, getting rid of all the leaves that had accumulated on her clothes & shook herself, which freed her person of twigs.  Amber Jade glared at her.

"You know full well not to scare me," She snapped, as her eyes grew even more luminescent, which made Amy whimper at her sister.

"Sis', I'm sor--," Amy tried to apologize, but got cut off by Amber Jade.

"If you were sorry you wouldn't have done it! I could have killed you,"

"But you didn't!"

"Well, maybe next time I won't miss,"

Amber Jade seethed. Amy's ears fell flat against her head & she let out a small whine, as her sister breathed in & out to regain her composure. She put her hands around her mouth & made a bird call, which immediately alerted her golden eagle & falcon to her presence. The birds of prey landed on their owner's shoulders & began to perch once again.

"Just get some firewood, we're running out; also, take Midnight & Lavender with you," Amber Jade ordered, as she looked over her shoulder to sternly glare at Amy yet again. She walked into the forest, conversing with her birds before she was swallowed up by the shadow of the trees.

"Just get some firewood, we're running out; also take Midnight & Lavender with you~" Amy mocked Amber Jade, she put on a posh English accent as she tried to imitate her sister. She growled at her & balled her hands into fists, her knuckles turning white.

"STUPID, BRITISH, HIPPY SISTER!" Amy shouted, as soon as her sister's birds' chirps faded away. She took a deep breath & sighed loudly, letting all her anger fade away before she cupped her hands around her mouth & made a sound similar to that of a wolf's howl. Not long after, a small fox & a large wolf appeared from the forest's brushes. Amy smiled & the fox yipped happily, while the wolf soundlessly walked over to her master.

"Hey pups," She chuckled, as she knelt down at the wolf & the fox's level to scratch behind their ears. The fox happily yipped again, while the wolf sat down & stared deeply at Amy's tail, which wagged happily at the sight of her pets.

"We should go, let's go," Amy smiled at her pets before she lifted herself back onto her legs & brushed stray pieces of grass from her jeans. She happily skipped into the forest, her fox was happily following right behind her master, as the wolf strayed behind, looking over her master.
