3: The Story Of 'Deny'

"Good morninggg!!!!!!" Kwangmin and Ayeka heard a loud voice as they felt their blanket being pulled away, letting the cold breeze touch their skins.

Fluffily trying to open her eyes and adjust with the blinding sunlight, Ayeka looked at the people surrounding them. As far as she could recall, they are sleeping at the rooftop of Jo Residence so who are these people?

'Paparazzi?!' She immediately snapped in her mind and in an instant, she became sober.

"Kwangmin-ah...!" Youngmin slightly kicked his brother who is still sleepily ignoring the voices and hugged Ayeka on her waist in attempt to get close to warmth.

Ayeka realized Boyfriend members are the ones who woke them up, surrounding them while exchanging meaningful looks with each other.

"Good morning Youngmin oppa." She lazily answered and started brushing her eyes with the back of her palm to see clearer.

"Hello Donghyun oppa, Hyunseong oppa, Jeongmin oppa, Minwoo oppa.." She continued now with a more energetic voice.

She ignored the amazed look in their eyes as she nonchalantly got up, stretched her arms to keep her blood circulate actively, covered her mouth as she yawned like a graceful cat. She then searched for her slippers and composed herself before leaving them, "I'm going down to help Umma prepare the food."

She then walked away leaving Donghyun, Hyunseong, Jeongmin and Minwoo lookig dumbfounded at Youngmin who just gave them an I-told-you-already look.

"Umma? She's referring to you mother right?" Donghyun clarified which Youngmin confirmed with a nod.

"Wow.... She's already calling Mrs. Jo her Umma.... They are so sweet. How come Kwangmin is not proposing?" Hyunseong looked at the sleeping Kwangmin, helplessly.

On the way to their home, Youngmin opened the issue he has towards Kwangmin and Ayeka. He told the group that he really believes his brother is in love with his best friend, Ayeka, but is too stupid to realize or, if he does realize, he's too scared to tell Ayeka so he could take the friendship to a higher level.

Even though they have a dating ban as per their contract with Starship Ent., only Kwangmin hasn't a girlfriend. He never had a girlfriend since birth which is really surprising to fans, him being more handsome and appealing than his twin. The reason of him not having a girlfriend is first, he hasn't found the girl he loves yet, second, he's too afraid of rejection even if he has a thing for someone so he will opt not to tell it, third, he wanted to make sure he's really in love before courting someone, and the last, because of his 4D personality, girls are having a hard time to relate to him and will end up turned off.

Youngmin, and the rest of their family, is eyeing Ayeka as the perfect candidate for Kwangmin's girlfriend but the two of them are so close they do things as couples do but with friendly intentions only. That is why Youngmin explained to their hyungs that he wanted to help these two realize that they are perfect match and that they should date each other and get married someday.

Meanwhile on the kitchen, while preparing breakfast, Mrs. Jo couldn't help but remind Ayeka of some things that bothers her.

"Ayeka... Can I ask you something personal?" She asked as they sliced onions and garlic together.

"Sure Umma!" She cheerfully responded.

"Haven't you noticed anything different in Kwangmin's behavior lately?" She asked curiously.

Ayeka thought for a while then replied, "None... Why did you ask, Umma?"

"I was really concerned about your closeness. The two of you are on the age where you will start feeling different towards the opposite sex. I'm just afraid Kwangmin is very vulnerable to such." She honestly explained which Ayeka understood.

"We're both aware of that Umma.. But we are really just close friends like sisters and brothers. I even clarified that again with Kwangmin last night." She assured with a smile.

"Okay. But is there any instance when you think he tried to kiss you?" Mrs. Jo asked straightforwardly.

"Umma!" Ayeka almost chopped her finger because of the unexpected question. "Kwangmin will never do that to me I'm sure of it."

"I'm just kidding. Oh Ayeka you're really pure. I would be really happy if someday, you and Kwangmin end up together as a couple." Mrs. Jo exclaimed. She always say that and Ayeka is used to it but to her, it's nothing serious.

"Kwangmin oppa already has a crush, I can feel it but he's not telling me." She stopped chopping and looked blankly at the wall with a pout when she loudly voiced out what's supposed to be on her mind only.

"Really? Ah, that boy.. He's growing up real fast... It seems only yesterday when my twins were just little babies who can't go to photoshoot without me... But now, look at them.. They do things without me.. They are chasing girls without my knowledge.." Mrs. Jo pretended to sob.

"Umma, I said he has a crush... He's not chasing anyone... Besides I don't think he's confident enough to express it towards the girl whoever she may be... Kwangmin oppa is-" she was cut off by a familiar voice.

"Oppa? Why you calling me oppa? Huh?" Kwangmin, still in his pajamas, butted in. He is not used to being called oppa by Ayeka. She is only calling him oppa when they are in Starship studio and some fans are with them.

"Guys, why is Kwangmin still in his pajamas?!" Instead of answering, Ayeka scolded the other boyfriend members like a mother.

"The visitors would be here anytime soon so please get dressed!" She added.

"Aren't we visitors too?" Hyunseong pouted like a child.

"No, you're family. So help the family members." She pointed.

The members are touched but ended up complaining for doing the work while they expect to have a nice day off. Since Ayeka seems to be a natural born leader, there is authority in her voice that will make you obey her.

While Ayeka is busy in the kitchen, Kwangmin freshened up and get dressed. Just in time, the visitors, who are mostly close family friends, started arriving.

"Kwangmin!!!" One of the daughters of a very close family friend greeted Kwangmin with a tight hug and kiss. She would've kissed him on the lips but Kwangmin was quick to avoid it and ended up being kissed on his cheek instead.

"Mei!" Kwangmin could only force a smile to be formal.

Mei's family is close friends with Jo's and she is crazy over Kwangmin who, on the other hand, is very much irritated with her. She's declaring her love towards him but Kwangmin is pissed off. Of all girls, she is the one Ayeka feels jealous about...just a little.. And she's not telling it to anyone even Kwangmin but Youngmin noticed it. They had only met twice and those were just quick meet ups. Today will be the first time Ayeka and Mei will be together for a while.

"So, how's my future husband eh?" She asked and started arranging Kwangmin's collar. He wanted to brush her hands off him but her family is there and it would be really rude if he does that.

Ayeka could only roll her eyes inwardly. She hates this girl... She doesn't know why but she knows Mei is making Kwangmin uncomfortable and she hates that.
