In the early year of 1997, in High Point, North Carolina, lived a pair of teens by the names of Molly Goodwin and Fane Elwood. Both sophomores at High Point Central High School.

Molly Goodwin was considered an outcast at school, she had no friends but the teachers she had befriended during the last year. She was closest to the school counselor, Mr. Punjab, which she had met because of her old English teacher, Miss. Washington, who both felt that Molly was very 'antisocial'. Through all of her school years, Molly hadn't gained a friend and had never had a problem being alone.

Fane Elwood was kind of out there. He wasn't a go with the crowd kind of guy. He liked being his own person, and doing his own thing like his best friend 'The Rat'. Fane has done some really bad things in his life and unlike most people, he's proud of his sins.

But all that was just a cover up.
