Chapter 2: A Night With You
"Can I go with you?
"No."
"C'mon. Please?"
"I said no!"
Meet Steve Mason, my bestfriend. He has blue eyes, blonde hair, and a pointy nose. Hot, kissable lips, captivating eyes, perfection. But no. I really don't have any feelings for him even during the first time we met. He's my bestfriend, and will always be my bestfriend. He teases me like everytime, he treats to me like a dog, and pats me on my head. Oh god, he treats me like his personal assistant, but who cares! What I like about being around him is that girls are being too envious of me. I found it funny because the way girls look at Steve Mason, and the way girls look at me is waaay too different. Really different.
Sometimes I like being hated, I admit it. I do. Well, atleast for know I don't have any scientific explanations 'bout that.
Now, Steve has been acting like a wild gorrilla. He's been forcing me to bring him to my sanctuary, since we've been in the school bus. Maybe I shouldn't have just told him about what happened the other day. He didn't seem to believe me, and now he's forcing me to make him believe it's real? Well, although our houses are only a walking distance, I know he can secretly follow me.... So of course, I have to make sure that I'd be gone without him noticing..
It was already five o'clock by the time I arrived in my silent sanctuary. It was peaceful, and all I heard were echoing crickets and chirping birds. The puffs of clouds were in shade of grey, and all I've ever done was wait for Alexander, the guy I've personally met on the same place.
"It depends on you." Those words entered my mind again. But the time I opened my eyes, a familiar figure of a boy came into my sight. It-it was... Alexander. I stood up. The figure drew closer and closer until it was perfectly clear that it was really him.
"It's you!" I stared. He just smiled.
"Alexander, tell me. Are you really real?"
"As what I've said, it depends on you."
"So, when I say you're real, you are. But when I say you're not, then you're not?" He laughed.
"Exactly." He nodded. Alexander seemes to be a little bit funny.
"Where do you live?" I just can't stop asking quetions.
"Somewhere you don't know," he simply replied. And what did he mean by that?
Moving on, the place was filled with silence. We were now sitting on a log by the lake.
"Uhm.."
"Yes?"
"Alexander.. could we be friends?" Silence. All was in silence again. He looked away and returned his gaze to the lake with a blank expression. I was worried that maybe he'll go away any minute because of my stupid question. Okay, stupid could be acceptable but I prefer use 'difficult'.
So, I started to move a seat away from him. He slowly turned his head to my direction which made me stop.
"Uh..y-y.. uhm,"-
"Yes," he cut me off. I was shaking with his answer and so, I looked at him with an unexplainable expression. Smile. That killer smile of his . H-he showed it again, to me. But as soon as I saw his, it quickly faded along with himself.
Again, he left me. Without saying goodbye. And it hurts me everytime he left, there were so many things I still wanted to talk to him, ask him, but I guess I have no other choice. I did not leave my sanctuary , I was hoping he would come back again and we could talk more and I would find the meaning of what he said. "Do you remember me?"
