Harley was sitting at the corner of the training room with his face propped in his hand. He was smiling as he watched Harith train. The leonin was currently dashing towards a few holograms, firing his magic at it. There was a time limit on the screen, and, next to the countdown, was Harith's score. It was more than a thousand now, and Harley wasn't surprised by the amount of points the leonin had gained in only a few minutes.

His training had ended about two hours ago, but he decided to stay and wait for the leonin to finish. He could feel his eyes drooping as he observed the mage, but he forced himself to stay awake. This was definitely the baby's doing. He knew that the baby inside of him was causing him to feel sleepy, but he didn't want to go home first and stay there alone. It was boring without Harith, so it was better if he just stayed here until the leonin's training was over.

He didn't realise when Harith had finished training. His mind was so distracted that, the next thing he knew, Harith was already standing right in front of him. He gave the leonin a sheepish smile, and, when the mage frowned, he knew that Harith was aware of his growing fatigue right now.

"Harley, you don't have to wait for me if you're tired," Harith said, holding his arm to help him stand up. "You should rest at home. What's the point of you staying here when your training is over?"

"I get to watch you," Harley said, without thinking. He then realised what he had just said and shook his head to snap out of his daze. He quickly added, "I mean–"

Harith's lips twitched upwards, and Harley knew that his words couldn't be taken back. He should really be more careful with what he was saying whenever he feels sleepy. Otherwise, Harith might use it as a teasing matter. Noticing the playful smirk on Harith's face, he ended up mumbling something inaudible before quickening his pace to get away from the mage.

While walking, he noticed a girl leaning on the wall outside of their training room. He recognised her as Chloe, a C-Class mage. He doesn't know her that well, but he knew that she was a few years older than him—probably around Harith's age. Right now, she had her arms crossed over her chest, and he couldn't help but find her staring at him. That was odd. Why was she looking at him like that? It wasn't as if they knew each other. Did he do something wrong to her without him noticing?

On instinct, he moved closer to Harith. He knew that there were many who disliked him. Some hated him because of his attitude, while others hated the fact that he was the one who ended up being with Harith. Harith has a lot of admirers, so he wasn't surprised if Chloe was one of them.

He wasn't aware when he had bumped into the leonin, earning himself a confused expression.

"Harley?" Harith asked, and he whipped his head to the side upon hearing the mage's voice. The leonin frowned. "Is something wrong?"

"Oh, it's nothing," Harley quickly answered, waving his hand nonchalantly in the air. He pushed the thought of Chloe away from his mind and gave the leonin a small smile. Wanting to change the topic, he said, "What do you want to eat tonight?"

Harith looked at him, his face hinting suspicion. Harley should've known that nothing passes the leonin. For some weird reason, Harith would know in an instant when something was wrong, or when he was trying to hide something. He watched as the leonin looked at where he had been looking, and he couldn't help but feel relieved that Chloe had left the scene before he could spot her. But now that he thought about it, why did he have a bad feeling about the girl? It wasn't like she had done anything wrong—except for staring at him. Sure, she may inwardly hate him, but who cares if she does?
