MARCH 2014
Toot. Toot. CRASH!
"5 minutes more," is what I said but fell asleep again.
Toot. Toot.
"ANO BA? ANG INGAY!" I looked out of the window. I recognize the woman and man lying on the ground. My parents.
PRESENT DAY
I woke up screaming again. I've been having the same dream over and over again. Never having a good night's rest.
I've been staying in my grandparent's house in Cebu after my parent's burial. After that dreadful day, my grandmother was back as CEO of the company again. They brought me here to Cebu to study for college and well, to be my guardian.
Today is my first day of College at a school that I basically own. I didn't want to be a medical student in the first place,in fact, I didn't know what to do after high school! I guess, that day changed my life.
>> 10:00 AM
"Welcome to Cebu Medical University! Medical school is easy. There are only three things you have to do, that is: study, study, and study. Have a wonderful year freshmen!' With that, my grandfather ended the orientation.
I headed to the canteen. Pakshet, I stick out like a sore thumb. I wish I had my uniform fitted like two months early so people wouldn't have to stare at me. Wearing civilian clothes feels like wearing a big poster board saying "COLLEGE NEWB!"
I see some familiar faces. I guess people from my old high school.
And not a single shit was done that day.
By the way, my name's Aaron Lustre.
