AN: I don't own Dark Souls and I am by no means a pro at this game, there may be some holes in the lore, but it's Dark Souls, what do you expect? This is a SI, this will depict how I would feel if I was in the world of Dark Souls personally. Eventual crossover?
I was sitting in my room in my Nana's house, she had gone to sleep in the Living Room at about 5:37PM, I can't quite recall. But I was sitting in my chair in front of my TV screen, Xbox One controller in hand, and playing Dark Souls Remastered. I found the game amazing, it had spotty lore at best, but I was fairly good at it, PVP not so much, but PVE was nothing short of a cake walk, don't ask how.
Dark Souls is a game that, however long you've played it, or how many times you've beat it, there's something you can do better to improve, or complete. I myself had always had a difficult time killing Artorias The Abyss Walker, he was probably the most aggressive boss in the game, he had a bit less health then you would realize, and he punished every mistake you made with chunks of your health, especially since he had three stages, each one increasing his damage by around x1.5, maybe less, maybe more, and his attacks were next to impossible, if not completely impossible to parry, therefore you needed to dodge or block.
Whining aside, Dark Souls was fun. But it was only fun because you could quit the game and do something else if you were just mentally exhausted game, or you could get something to eat or drink. If you've ever played any of the D.S games, the you would have probably imagined yourself as your character or other actually in the game! And maybe thought it would be fun!
No. No. No no no no no... No
Dark Souls, although difficult, and invigorating to play. Was NOT a fun experience if you were actually in the universe.
Not only do you not get to leave, you can feel every death, feel your armor, the harsh weather, actually SEE the enemies in REAL life. And they were absolutely HORRIFIC...
The normal Hollows, were unnerving on their own. But if you were in the game PERSONALLY, they looked decrepit, decaying, lifeless, and generally horrifying to perceive. They groaned and moaned in eternal pain and suffering with years of it behind them.
Those are just the HOLLOWS. There are hundreds of different enemies in the game, each one unique and terrifying in it's own right.
I know this because I've experienced it, or will experience it... I'm most definitely not looking forward to it. I had never imagined being here personally..
Yet, here I am, to experience it, to feel eternal pain or horror for years, tens, hundreds, thousands, MILLIONS of years..
Well.. that's worse case scenario.
