Three years after The First Case.
"Happy New Year!" Everyone shouts as they welcome in 2019. Smiles cover everyone's face as they congratulate each other on making it another year. People disperse throughout the party, separating into their own individual groups.
A girl walks up to her boyfriend, carrying two beers and a piece of cake. She hands him one and sips from her own.
"Another year, another day our lives are ending." The girl shouts over the loud music, stepping closer to him.
"Yeah whatever babe, we're barely twenty-one." He shouts back, playfully rolling his eyes. "we've got the rest of our lives ahead of us!" Yet just as he says this, screams begin to break out throughout the party. Somehow the sounds of horror are heard over the blaring music.
The screams grow louder as they get closer. People close enough begin to see what's happening and they started running every which way. People are getting trampled, while others are being torn alive.
The girl turns to her boyfriend, only to see him on the ground, a man on top of him, tearing into his neck. A scream leaves her but is quickly cut off as she feels herself being pulled and a pair of teeth sinking into her shoulder.

Two days earlier.
"Good morning New York City." The peppy voice of a news reporter says. "Sky's are gray and it's terribly cold outside. You'd be a fool to step out in this weather. And you know what that means, flu season is right at its peak!"
The news reporter grabs her earpiece as she listens to whatever is being said on the other end. "Oh my, turns out there is indeed a new flu strain. Originally it had been deemed as a rumor, but now it's being confirmed. Definitely go out and get those flu shots. What do you think, John?"
A male steps into the frame, his face flushed, yet nose red. A sneeze leaves him. "I've definitely got what they're talking about, Cindy, and it's horrible. Let's list off the symptoms shall we? Vomiting, fever...basically what we're used to?"
They both laugh, nodding at each other before moving onto the next topic. Meanwhile, the hospitals and doctor offices begin filling up with a never ending amount of patients. Doctors struggle to figure out how to help their patients while patients grow increasingly violent, one of the symptoms not named in the broadcast.
Vomiting.
Fever.
Aggressiveness.
Short breaths.
Death.
Reanimation.
*Heyo, hope you all had a wonderful holiday! This part is like the start of it all of course. I'd use this as a way to start building relationships, making groups, stuff like that. Have fun, guys!
Happy roleplaying!*
