Hello there, my name's Kath. Katherinna Alaine Mendoza, Kath for short. I'm 21 years old, finished BA Fashion Design at De La Salle–College of St. Benilde. It has been something I really love to do since I was in grade school. I've pretty much done a lot of sketches since then and TLE has always been my favorite subject. Well not the cooking part but the stitching.
Mostly all of the people I know belittles the stitching class for they think it's just a small thing to do and that Fashion Design is not a standard course.
But who cares?
What would you be wearing right now without fashion designers; if none taught us how to stitch and let such students like me be inspired to stitch and design clothes for people, right?
My brother and I are the only ones who have stayed together and who have helped me with my studies. Our mom died a week before the day of my graduation ceremony. Then our dad is nowhere to be found on the day of my graduation. Kieth, my brother, don't know where he has gone. We just claim that maybe he followed mom even though we have no proof that he's still alive.
I thought I won't be able to go to College anymore but I was able to get a scholarship that could support me all throughout my college. Mom has left us with her savings, my school has given me allowance every month but it was not enough for the supplies I needed for school. Mom has savings but our shares are not enough for the payment of the house and as well as our everyday meal. My brother? Well, you'll get to know more later, but for now, I'd be heading for my flight to France.
