"Neji!" yelled the nagging voice that I heard every single morning.
I groaned and Lee was already jumping on my bed, and TenTen was peacefully waiting for him to stop annoying me.
"Come on Lee, don't you think that he's getting sick of this?" she asked.
"I think that it is of great importance that he wakes up quickly everyday so he is not to miss ANYTHING!" he yelled.
"Well keep jumping on my bed, eventually you'll kick me off, I'll get a concussion and then I will miss everything" I tiredly.
"There you are Neji! We've been waiting for you to get up" said Guy Sensei slapping my back.
"Okay" I said.
"We've been assigned a new mission today! With another squad" said TenTen.
"YAAAY! TEAMWORK!" yelled Lee as I covered my ears and gave him an irritated glance.
"We're supposed to be at the village gate now" said Guy Sensei.
We all walked out of the Hyuga clan base and then proceeded to run to the gate.
When we arrived at the gate, Naruto, Sai, Sakura, and Kakashi were waiting for us.
"Sorry we're late" said Guy Sensei.
"Somebody has some trouble getting out of bed this morning" he said tilting his head towards me.
"That's unlike you Neji" said Kakashi.
"It's unlike a human to disturb one's sleep" I said.
"Well lets get going. The Akatsuki won't just sit and wait for us" said Kakashi.
"The Akatsuki?!" yelled Lee.
"Yes. We are to retrieve Deidara and possibly Sasori" said Kakashi.
"Well that's just great so can we get going" asked Sakura.
Kakashi nodded and in the blink of an eye, we all went into the forests path that would eventually lead us towards the Sand village.
"Are we gonna meet up with Gaara or is he too scared to see those two again?" said Naruto laughing.
"If anyone should be scared Naruto, it's you because if you don't shut your mouth, it'll be your head on a stake" said Sakura.
"No need to be so morbid Sakura" said Naruto.
"We're gonna take a break" said Kakashi.
"Sai. Neji. Sakura. Go look for some berries or some sort of food" said Kakashi.
"Right" said Sai
Sai and Sakura followed me a few miles up from where we were going to rest and we still couldn't find anything.
Suddenly, five ninjas jumped us, but I blocked it, barely on time.
"Well well well..." said one of them.
"Looks like a few nice little mice found their way into a snake lair" said another.
Out of nowhere appeared someone wearing an Akatsuki robe, but it wasn't an Akatsuki member. Or at least it didn't look like one.
We were then suddenly trapped in a metal prison, unable to move at all.
"What's this about?" asked Sai.
"Yeah what do you want?" asked Sakura.
"Just the Hyuga kid. I'll let the rest of you go if you give him to me" he said
Why was it just me? He could've easily just trapped me in here, leaving the others outside.
Sai managed to draw a few animals, setting him free.
He freed Sakura and then me.
"Damn it" mumbled the guy.
He set off a poison bomb and then threw 100 Kunai at me. I did my rotation, but somehow, one managed to hit me.
I gasped when it hit me, but then realize the stupid mistake I had made. I had inhaled the poison already.
"Well I'll leave him to you" said the man disappearing, along with the poison clearing and us getting out of the prison.
I fell to the ground and was gasping for air.
"Neji" said Sakura.
"Sai, go get Kakashi and maybe Guy" she said.
Sai sprinted back to where Kakashi was and in the span of five minutes, Kakashi came back with Sai.
Sakura told him all about it, and Kakashi sat by my side.
"Neji how do you feel?" asked Kakashi.
"Everything hurts" I said.
He picked me up and then brought me over to where they were staying.
"Guy" he said.
"What color was the poison?" asked Guy.
"I think it was blue" said Sai.
Kakashi gave Guy Sensei a glance and I then knew that something was horribly wrong.
