two months later

NARRATOR POV

Cheryl and Toni spent one of the months of their summer together the other month Toni had to cross country to go fight with the serpents and it ended their relationship

flashback *before Toni had to go to fight with the serpents*

"babe I've gotta go fight with the serpents for a while" Toni said to Cheryl after they had just been on a afternoon stroll, "what do you mean Toni you promised this whole summer with me, plus you could get badly hurt" Cheryl replied, "I'm part of a gang babe its what I have to do, they are my family", "Toni your not going" Cheryl said, "I have to go Cheryl", "if you leave you don't love me Toni" Cheryl said with tears filling her eyes, "babe don't say that you know I love you" Toni replied, "if you leave you don't love me" Cheryl said her voice cracking, "ill be back soon" Toni said looking into Cheryl's eyes, Cheryl didn't say anything else and Toni left, got onto her motorbike and left.

Cheryl had been in her room the whole Time Toni was gone, crying, her girlfriend had left her, she read over the note Toni had left her

ill be back in 5 days babe I'm sorry I had to leave I love you- Toni x

it had been a whole month, nothing from Toni, no messages, no notes, no one had told her if Toni was okay, veronica had been checking on her for a while, coming to her house and checking if Cheryl was okay, but she wasn't, she couldn't do anything without Toni, sleep, eat, live, Toni was her life and without her Cheryl was nothing.

VERONICA POV

I had been looking after Cheryl for a couple of weeks, getting her to eat and so forth, it was horrible, I couldn't believe Toni had done this, but serpents was her wife as well as Cheryl she had to do it, but a month? instead of 5 days, this was killing Cheryl, she didn't even know if her girlfriend was alive, I tried to message sweetpea and jughead but none of them answered, Cheryl was sitting on her bed with tonis sweatshirt on and she hadn't taken it off, she hadn't even taken a shower no matter the many of times I tried to get her too, she needed Toni to be there with her mum was out the house living with her uncle Claudius in greendale, Cheryl was too scared to do anything living at home by herself, I heard a rev from outside the window, Cheryl hadn't spoke but this time she quietly whispered "Toni?" I stood up and looked out, a pink hair serpent was standing next to get motorbike with cuts all over her face.
