therapy

My breath was visible in the air. That's how cold it is.
I finally step out of the small train and walk down the snow covered road at the edge of a forest. Red Wood is a small town in the north. Gossip travels incredibly fast here. That's why I was so glad to have left. But now I'm back. Not because I want to. I didn't miss my family or former friends. And they didn't miss me.
I reach the big iron gate of my family's home. On top of the small hill sits our mansion. It used to be fancy, yes. But now it's slowly falling apart.
When I enter the large entrance hall, nobody is home. There is only a letter on the kitchen table. I read
"Dear Tamara,
Unfortunately we are out when you arrive...
... Your therapy is at 6pm....
Be nice... jada...jada...whatever..."
I check the clock. It's around 5pm.
So I make myself a cup of coffee and a sandwich and walk around the house a little. Nothing has really changed. When I was still living here it was grey and dusty. It still is.
Finally I make my way down the road again. I arrive at the correct neighborhood. The houses are new, modern and a good bit apart from each other. You surely have your privacy here.
Number 5...6...7, that's it.
I ring the doorbell.
After some seconds the door is opened by a tall, dark, handsome man in his 30s.
"Hello, you must be Tamara Hale, nice to meet you."
He reaches his hand out and I shake it. "Yeah"
He steps aside, so I can go in as well.
His interior is as modern as his house from the outside. The primary colours are white, grey, black and brown. It's rather minimalistic but still cozy and comfortable. I like it.
He leads me into his sitting room. There is a black leather couch with a leather chair facing it. Behind the chair is a big breathtaking window.
It takes up the whole wall basically. On the other side is a small garden that connects to the forest.
