Running away

Daddy told me he had his best friend coming over today. He's known her since childhood. I wasn't too excited, and then things turned for the worse because when he opened the door, it was a girl, not a boy. I thought it was a boy the way Daddy talked about her, but it wasn't. The girl jumped on Daddy and hugged him tightly. I tried really hard not to cry. I became afraid that he's replacing me with her because she was younger and a lot prettier than me

Ashton
Daphne, I've missed you so much! I kiss her cheek. She tells me she's missed me too. I introduce her to my princess, and they both say hi. I was worried about my girl and was going to ask her if she was ok, but Daphne pulled me away and showed me a picture of us when we were younger

Rachel
After they left the room, I took the picture and cut it in half and held the side with Daddy close to me

Daphne
What did you do!

Rachel
She snaps almost yelling at me, and I sniff scared then run upstairs and lay in my bed crying. Daddy's been with her almost all day, and he's been ignoring me all day too. I decided enough was enough and I packed a bag of the things that are most important to me, and I decided to take a taxi cab over too royals house

Royal
I see Rachel pull up in a taxi cab and I help her with her bags immediately wondering what had happened. She would never have left or gone anywhere without her Daddy unless she was really mad or sad. I take her bags up to my room, and she explains what happened. I tell her she's welcome to stay however long she wants

Graham
I walk in and see Rachel is over. I ask where are Ashton and she tells me he's at home. I say I'll have him come get you right away. Royal whispers something in his ear then he says your welcome to stay as long as you'd like hun

Rachel
What did you say to him that made him change his mind? She tells me that she said she'd let him do hard and rough playtime later if he promised not to tell Ashton your here. She hugs me tight happy and thankful she did that for me

Royal
Anytime babe. You're like my sister, and I won't let him make you sad like that again don't worry

Ashton
It's been a couple of hours, and Daphne just left. I searched all over for my princess but couldn't find her anywhere. I saw she had packed some of her things and I thought oh no. I race downstairs and grab my phone and call everyone I know then call Graham and ask if she's with him and he says no but I hear a whimper in the background. I immediately knew it was my girl. I recognized her whimper instantly

Royal
I think he's onto us Rachel we have to take you somewhere else. Hmm, but where? She tells me to drop me off at Brady's house.

Brady
Welcome angel. What's wrong? She tells me she ran away from her Daddy. I tell her I have to tell him where you are and that you're safe. She begs me not to tell him

Rachel
I'll go back in a couple days I promise. Please don't tell him. I say looking at him with puppy dog eyes

Meanwhile back at Royals house
Graham
I'm sorry Ashton, but she's not here just like I said on the phone earlier

Ashton
No way she's not here. I could have swore I heard her whimper in the background on the phone call. Did she leave before I came over?

Graham
No, she hasn't been here at all. He tells me that I better be telling the truth

Royal
She hasn't been here. Honest Ashton

Meanwhile at Brady's house
Brady
Alright, I won't angel. Just text him from a random number that your ok and that you're with a friend. She does and then when I go to take it from her, and I start texting him that she's with me she slaps me throwing a tantrum upset I was breaking my promise. I lift her up and carry her upstairs over towards the crib

Rachel
I beg him not too and start crying. He placed me in and secured the bars for the crib in place. I face away from him crying wanting out. He goes to touch my back but I scoot away, and he sighs then leaves the room. I lay in the crib crying then once he's gone I try and pull the bars loose. He comes in and sees me and doesn't look happy

Brady
It breaks my heart to see her crying, so I pick her up and put her in the corner facing the wall telling her she's in timeout for 5 minutes. I tell her that if she talks, I'll add time to her timeout. She whimpers sad and sits in the corner

Rachel
It's been 5 minutes, and he still hasn't said I could get up so I politely ask him and he says yes then he goes to lift me back up and put me in the crib. I start crying again and beg him not too. He nods then lays me down in bed

Brady
I let her sleep in my bed, and I go downstairs and sleep on the couch.

The next morning
Brady
I wake up hearing her cry. I rush upstairs, and she tells me she had a nightmare. She cries into my chest afraid. I slowly rub her back to help calm her down.

Rachel
I'm hungry. May I have some waffles, please? He tells me yes but that after he's taking me back home. I shake my head saying no, and he says yes

Brady
I go downstairs and make her waffles. She comes downstairs and eats them, and then I tell her to go get her stuff upstairs after she's done showering

Rachel
I get in the shower and slowly wash my body. I'm not ready to go back to Daddy yet, and he knows it, but he doesn't want him worrying about me. I decide that I'll just have to go back to royals and stay there for a little longer. I hope that's ok with her and Graham. I finish in the shower, and I pack my stuff up then decide to sneak out and say I went back on my own when I really just went to royals

Over at Royal's house
Royal
What happened?

Rachel
Brady wanted me to go back a day early, and I wasn't ready, so I came back here. I hope that's ok with you

Royal
Of course. You're always welcome here

Rachel
Thank you royal I say hugging her and then setting my stuff down on the bed.
