Saturday 8th of December,
Time:6:30
Location:bedroomI sat on my bed with my diary and pen scribbling todays events so far.The wind came charging in through my window and caused the papers around me to scatter away into the shadows of my room.
I groaned in frustration but let it be.There was no way i could be asked to pick them up when i was in such a comfortable position.
Puffing, I tried to blow the strand of her that rested on my face and when that failed i gave up on trying to continue with my diary and fell on my bed with my face flat.
Tilting my head, I stared outside and watched the trees swaying as the leaves fell in a swirling motion to the ground. The others were sadly gushed away in the winds trail.
It felt like an hour that i stayed in that position staring.I could barely see that much as it was winter and the sun set much quicker than it usually did.
Minutes went by, and my eyes closed thier doors shutting out the world.I was ready to give into my much awaited sleep when a booming sound went off.Almost like a gunshot.
I was up in a flash.I was alert and awake. The sleep i felt before no longer seemed to exist.Dashing,to the door i shut the lights and ran to the living room where my mum,dad and sister were all awake speaking in hushed voices.
"It's too soon" my mum whispered to
my dad"I know, this year they must have been really short" my dad replied in an anxious voice
"We need to leave now! Or they will get us" my older sister contributed
My mum and dad shook thier heads in agreement.
"I'll go get the emergency bag, you get the torches and you get the saved up money" my dad instructed everyone but me
It seemed as though i was finally out of shocked mode as i eventually spoke.
"Wait!don't leave me here. What on earth is going on?"
No one answered as they had all gone searching around the house.I knew better to ask questions when this really was not the time.
Bam! Another gunshot.I could hear screams of people getting louder by the secound. This was enough to make my parents start to completely ruin the house and brake the plates as they tried to find what they needed.I shook in fear and closed my mouth hoping it would help me not to scream.
It all seemed so surreal! This was not something i was used to.This was something that happened in movies,in cartoons and books not in real life!
"Thats it, no more we do not have much time.Lets go" My father instructed
I sat there.I did not move.I could not move.It felt as though i was glued to the floor and i could not even control my own body.
When my mother realised i was not moving she rushed to me.
"Hey,hey it's okay...everything is okay...don't worry we will be safe" my mum tried to calm me down
"But...but" I tried to think of words but nothing came out
"Come on we have to leave now" my mum reached for my hand
"Susan we have to leave!" My dad stressed
"You two go on we will catch up" mum replied
My dad was hesitant but when my mum said go again with a nod of assurance he took my sister with him and headed out the back door.
As soon as they left, another gunshot was heard and the sound of a roaring voice could be heared yelling. However, this was no ordinary gunshot.No.This gunshot was close.Really close.
I panicked and my mum's eyes widened with fear she grabbed my arm and tried to get us to leave. With whatever i had left in me i followed my mother out.
The weather was freezing and with the lack of layers i was soon to freeze up.Nothing could be heared but screams and destruction. The limted warmth in me was escaping rapidly out of my mouth and into the air.
I wanted to look back for the last time.I wanted to say goodbye to my home.I wish this never happened.
I really wished i never looked back but it was too late. Before i could even register what was happening, i was yanked by the hair which cause me to lean backwards but not enough to fall. However, the kick to my back ensured my chances of escaping this stranger hold were slim to none.
The harsh kick caused me to have harsh intake of air before i fell and released it.
My mum sensing everything, turned and tried to help me up whilst attacking the guy but it was useless as he was far to strong and as he beat us with the element of suprise.
I yelped when mum was pushed hard onto the floor.I desperately moved my hands toward my mum but my arms were quickly taken and tied.
I screamed and yelled but that never did anyone any good as all of a sydden a gun was now facing my mum.
"Yell again and she gets it, you hear me!" The man screamed into my ear
I nodded weakly feeling my heart slowing down.
My mum gave me a reassuring smile eventhough i could clearly see she was just as scared as i was.
"Get up" the man once again yelled
I listened and just like that he grabbed me by the hair and pushed me back towards where we were minutes ago.
I observed the surrounding, and realised i was not the only one in this position.Rows of girls and boys where outside on the streets.Everyone was crying or in tears apart from the monsters that caused this to happen. They stood with guns pointed at people and commanded people to comlpy with thier orders.
Before i could even take another sceound of a look i was yanked by the hair.
"Head down do not look up unless asked" he screamed
Immediately tears formed in my eyes. This was it.The end.
