Time binds the universe together and skips every so often. The road trip of the trinity is without further delay as Sarah Demeter has gathered all available clues to the conspiracy. She has tracked and found the connections between the appearances. The faces matched. A murder of a businessman, a producer with the same wound, a gang of skinheads found burnt but still the puncture marks are in accord. The only reason she found the skinhead was the fortuitous memo that landed on her desk about a Sheriff along a road in western Virginia. He called the police after a near fatal dose of snake venom. Most other men would have died but he is a snake handler and says no serpent can hurt him as long as the Lord is with him. Sleep deprived, she drove with the intention of the Valkyries to visit the understaffed rural hospital. Sarah introduces herself as FBI and he readily give up all information.

"Yes, I show did have a mix up with those boys. You already read my report or you wouldn't be here so you know what they look like and I knew they was not from round ya. But Lord had thine mercy shine upon me and was saved, do you know your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ?"

"I know more than you think and I'm Orthodox, that's Greek. But it is irrelevant. Did you know the men in the car fire?" Sarah asks as the man tries to get out of his hospital bed and she puts her hand forward to stop him and he does not resist.

"No but even in my neck of the woods I heard of the Hawk's Nest. Not a friendly place, I reckon they encountered the same me I did and those boys didn't know that what they reap is what they sew. They just happen to meet a reaper on the way. Did you find something? You think they're serial killers?"

"Something like that," she says as a singular insight come to focus and she knows that this cop cannot help her anymore but the fact that he lived, and that they are traveling north is enough to evince some evidence of their intentions.

"Anything else I can help you with?"

"Your description is helpful enough and I now have a time and a direction. Thank you and rest up. Get back to your job as quickly as possible. We need more men like you out there serving the community," she says and thinks what a strange report. Immunity does not increase with multiple snake bites. What kind of church allows their lay people to do such things?

"Thank you and I will, travel safe."

"I will good bye," Sarah says, whips her hair back and leaves the room. She straightens her gray, shorter than regulation, skirt as she comes upon the elevator. Her mind, a polished steel sword, begins to sharpen as she ruminates on the elevator. A cult she thinks and the elevator door opens to the garage. A janitor emptying a wire trash can nods his hat as she goes by. She smiles and nods back.

Sarah wonders how all these victims are connected. Blake Moxley and the first death was his boss Mr. Garew. That is an open motive but then why the others? A producer and some skinheads. It makes no sense unless he's a hired hand for other purposes and a deal went bad. Maybe the skinheads hired him to kill the producer who was Jewish or vice versa? But why such amateurs? The boss had no connections in the movie industry from what we know. Why the director? Didn't like a movie? It's just a matter of luck that the insurance investigator happened to see the face of Blake Moxley in conjunction with the other surveillance. There was no ransom for a kidnapping and it appears to be a set up and a real good one using planted evidence in the office and his apartment. But no ransom makes it suspicious but people just disappear all the time. Good thing he was spotted. What does Blake Moxley want to accomplish with this? Why the producer? Why his boss? What's the payoff? I just hope the intel on his family comes up with something because he could be going to Canada for all we know but DC seems to be the next stop on the site seeing map of major cities. Who are the other two guys? A guy who looked beat up and bloody and the other a man of a darker complexion, what can the connections be? The report reads only one name, Darius Haddad.
