(Peri's Pov)

The sky was blue, the atmosphere was as good as it can get when you live around killers and monsters.

Everything was just dandy for Peri.

Except for the fact when she tried to check on Val, the room was empty and both cannibals were gone.

She frowned, gnawing on the inside of her cheek, even tasting a little blood, but that didn't bother her, and she usually hated the taste of blood! Only that her friend hadn't even said goodbye.

Well, sure that maybe that mean ol EJ wanted to leave immediately, likely not seeing that a few minutes can be spared.

But she couldn't stop the light resentment forming. And then guilt followed afterward for feeling that way about that shy and submissive teen.

"Maybe Splendy can cheer me up." She mused, getting up to find her loving boyfriend.

Sure he can, but it can be oh so temporary.

She sighed, squeezing her stuffed animal friend a little too tightly. Sometimes Luli could be so... She can't even describe it.

"Spleeeendyyyyy." She called, humming to herself, feeling her mood getting lighter. For no reason at all.

"Oi, brat, where's the creepy tall guy with no face?"

She blinked, looking to a window to see a black haired woman, who strangely had a bright red heart, making her pale skin seem paper, under her left eye.

"Ummm, why? What's your name?" She asked, hoping perhaps she could be a new friend. She liked making friends...

"Because I gotta see him, ask some questions, and my name isn't important." She snapped, glaring.

She frowned. "His office, which is down that hall and in the fifth door."

"Thanks." She said, leaving.

Raising a brow, she shrugged and continued on her quest for either Splendy or Sally.

        ...With Val now...

"And these are some movies ya can watch, or books." Tristan said, pointing to two boxes. "I prepare a lot, so this was no problem."

Val nodded, glancing around to study the oddly new house. It was... rather fresh.

It was different than the house she grew up in.

"And these, hehe, are the special kind, which admittedly Jackie doesn't want you to see or read, that will get you passed those hormones or whatever that are late." He said, holding a few tapes and books.

She took one, reading the title. "Gay... porn?"

Tristan seemed to freeze, a drop of sweat forming and running down. "Oh, he he hehe, those are not for you. Must've took the wrong box." He muttered, snatching them.

"Alright! Anything you want or need, come right to my house, it's just that way." He said, going to the window and pointing to the more misty part of the woods. "Anything. At all." He winked and went out. "Your dad'll be back around nighttime."

He grinned and left.

Val sighed, going to a chair. She admitted the silence was nice, but she didn't want to be alone.

Because before, she had her mom... Oh, the diary!

She got up, looking for her bag and digging through it, trying to find that pillowcase.

She panicked when she thought she might've left it, which would lead to an angry questioning of why she'd want to go back, and felt relieved when she found it.

She pulled it out and went to her room, not wanting to be caught with it when her father returned. She flipped it open to the page she left on.
