Hermione, who had just woke up for the first day of Hogwarts, quickly got up as the sun shined in her eyes. She didn't want to be late for her first class which was Divinations, she hates Divinations and would gladly skip it if she could, because she thought it was a load of rubbish.
She quickly put on her robes. She didn't have time to waste. Even though his was her least favorite class, that doesn't change how she has to pass it.
Hermione quickly walked down to the Common Room and then could see Harry and Ron already up, which shocked her. She was usually up before they were.
"What are you two doing up?" She asked and then sat down beside them as she noticed she still had plenty of time to relax before classes.
"Harry couldn't sleep for some reason, so he was up early. He was noisy so he sort of woke me up too." Ron explained, though he had an annoyed look on his face.
"I didn't mean to!" Harry protested, making Ron chuckle.
"Of course you didn't, mate, but we were up before Hermione! And she's usually the first one up!" Ron quickly laid back on the couch.
"And I don't see a problem with that," Hermione began, "because usually I have to find a way to wake up two up or else you'll be late!"
"We've gotten better at that." Ron stated, as Hermione heard footsteps coming from the steps. She turned around to see Fred and George walking down the stairs. They were always together.
"Hello Ron, Harry, 'Mione." Fred exclaimed as they both walked towards them.
"You two look happy. What's up?" Ron asked, curiosity filling his face.
"Well, Ronnie—" George began
"Since you asked—"
"We've been thinking of starting a joke shop once we're done with Hogwarts—" Hermione's face quickly filled with disappointment.
"Since we've been working on a few things—" Fred continued
"Secret things." George finally finished their sentence.
"That's totally barbaric!" She yelled and then looked at them both with disappointment still plastered across her face.
"What do you mean by that?" Fred asked, and smirked.
"Well, you two, as far as I know, haven't been working on anything, because usually anything you two work on is loud an obnoxious. Therefore, I think I'd hear it." Hermione looked at both of them as Ron was looking at Harry. Harry seemed to be lost in thought.
"That made no sense, Granger." George exclaimed and then looked at Fred, "Fred, I think it's time we prove Granger wrong."
Fred nodded in agreement, "George, I've been thinking the exact same thing."
"You two are doing the impossible." Ron muttered and then looked at Harry. That comment made Hermione smile a little.

It was the next day, and neither George nor Fred has tried anything on her.
Dumbledore quickly announced the event called the 'Triwizard Tournament'. Hermione thought it to be barbaric and dangerous. They had it banned for a reason.
But when Harry's names was called up, the Great Hall went so silent, Hermione could've heard a pin drop. Not even Fred and George we're saying anything. Hermione had to urge Harry to continue on towards Dumbledore.
Hermione turned to Ron, who had a glare on his face, though she didn't know why. Did he want his name to be called up?
She frowned, knowing Harry couldn't have put his name in the Triwizard Tournament, as she recalled not even Fred nor George could.
'It's not going to worrrkkk.' She remembered herself say, and then remembered proving Fred and George wrong again. The thought made her smirk as she remembered Fred arguing with George, but they didn't seem mad, they seemed to take it as a joke.
She quickly focused her thoughts back on what was happening. The Great Hall was quickly excused after everything that had happened. Hermione grabbed Ron's shoulder and turned him around.
"Ronald, what's wrong?" She asked, and she could see Ron's facial expression change when she called him 'Ronald' which was rare for her.
"Haven't you noticed, Hermione, that Harry is always into something? I've tried to ignore it, but I'm tired of being in the shadows. I don't want to be known as 'Harry Potter's best friend'" Ron mumbled, and Hermione frowned.
"Oh, Ron!" She shrieked and then hugged him. "I never knew you felt that way." Hermione soon let go of the hug. "I'm sure he doesn't mean to do it. It's not his fault. And I don't think he put his name in the Goblet. After all, Fred couldn't even do it."
"Fred and George." Ron muttered.
"Yes. Sorry."
"I think he did it. He just wants attention. I'm tired of staying in the shadows." Ron walked off and Hermione stood there for a moment. She decided to wait for Harry.
10 minutes later he had walked out of the Great Hall looking thunderstruck.
"Harry!" She yelled and ran up to him, "Oh, Harry! I don't think you put your name in the Goblet. I know you didn't. You couldn't have. Oh and Harry, watch for Ron. He's not in a good mood." She muttered.
"What? What's wrong with him?" Harry asked, his face full of concern.
"I would tell you, but I shouldn't. You'll just have to find out." Hermione added with a frown. "Come on Harry, it's getting late and I haven't done any studying."

Once they arrived at the Common Room, the only people up were Fred and George, though George looked tired. Harry quickly went up to bed after Hermione told him goodnight. Hermione couldn't go to bed, she had to get some studying in.
When she had finally found her books, George was already passed out on the couch. Today must've been a long day for him.
Hermione sat down across from Fred, avoiding eye contact with him. She wasn't mad. She had nothing to be mad about. She just had to get studying.
"Ah, yes. That's Granger. Studying 24/7." Fred said with a little laugh afterwards.
"Oh, shush it Fred. I don't want to get distracted." Hermione stated.
"Oh, my bad Granger. Don't hit me with your book! Or worse...punch me." Fred was obviously joking with her.
"Do you not know what shush it means? Do I need to lend you a dictionary?" She asked, "Because I have a few."
"Of course you do. Famous Hermione Granger. Brightest witch of her age." Fred laughed a bit then glanced over at George, "He's knocked out."
"What were you two doing anyway?" Hermione noticed a bunch of bottles but only one was empty. The rest were filled with pink. "Wait...are those lo-"
"Love potions. Yes they are. Well, not exactly of course. We tried to make some but we couldn't, not yet at least. We need the right ingredients." Fred stated.
"Good luck with that. Love potions? Those are very difficult to make, Fred." Hermione remembered reading about them for potions class. Well, just for fun really.
"We'll get it eventually, Granger." Fred said, and Hermione quickly realized how easily she had got distracted. She rolled her eyes at Fred and then examined the little bottles filled with pink liquid.
"You can obviously tell they weren't brewed correctly. The pink is too light. It needs to be darker. And the smell, it must be incorrect, I smell a circus..and...never mind that. It's just all wrong. I have a book you can borrow. It'll really help." Hermione left Fred smirk on his face. Did she really just smell the scent of Fred?
"Granger why don't you just make it for us?" Fred asked.
"I believe the correct term is 'brew it for us' but I really don't want to." Hermione stated and then tried to focus on her book.
"Oh, Granger, being stubborn as always. We'll figure it out ourselves." He mumbled then Hermione slammed her book shut. "I'm obviously not going to get anything done if you keep talking. I'll lend you a book-" she stated looking through her bag and pulled out a thick book titled 'All you need to know about Love',
"Here." She said stubbornly, shoving the book at him and then quickly said goodnight and walked upstairs.
"Thanks Granger!" Fred called up after him.
"George will you stop pretending to be asleep now?" Fred asked, "I convinced her."
