After a quiet first half of the day, Anton strutted down the halls, holding their head up high as he walked to his locker. Raven already stood at her own, leaning against it as she watched people walk down the hall to their next class. Once someone spotted Anton, they would straighten their back as they followed their rest of their peers downstairs to the cafeteria or their next class.

"So, where's the library again?" Raven questioned.

"It should be somewhere around here," Anton tsked. Placing his hands on his hips, he scoured the hall trying to find it. With it being his lunch period, he had free reign of the school. And with his free period being right after, he was able to continue searching for the secret library for a while longer.

"Are you lost?" a student questioned. The two turned around to face a boy who smiled. "Hi, I'm Clive. You two are new, correct?"

"Correct," Raven answered. She knew Anton preferred to only use his feminine voice when talking to staff as a sign of respect, but regarding students, he was fearful of anyone discovering his secret. So, she happily took on the role of speaker, and with her being the chatterbox she was, it came quite naturally for her.

Clive nodded his head and smiled awkwardly, hoping they would tell him their names. "And you are?"

"Oh, yes, this is my dear good friend Azalea, and I am Raven. We happen to be looking for the library. Could you point us in the right direction?"

'The library, Alpha. She's heading that way,' he mind-linked to Aaric, who quickly made his way over.

"Of course," he responded, heading the long way there. "Tell me, is this your free period?"

"No, lunch. But our free period is right after," Raven responded.

"Well, you two should certainly eat," he commented. "You don't want to starve."

With one look into Anton's cold eyes, Clive swallowed and skittishly led the way to the library. Even Raven couldn't help but flinch at his glare. Despite how common it was to see him angered, it still remained terrifying.

Once they arrived at the library, Raven smiled at Clive. "Thank you."

Anton nodded. "Thanks," he whispered before walking inside.

Squeezing his shoulder, Raven smiled at him. "You did so good. I am very proud of you."

"Thanks," he exhaled. "Let's just- oh great." He lifted his hand to cover his eyes as he quickly walked further into the library.

"What's wrong?" Raven asked as she ran to keep up with Anton.

"It's him," she hissed. As Raven went to scan for him, he pulled her back. "No, don't stare. He can't know, remember?"

Raven glanced up, smirked, and stared back down at Anton. "He's coming this way," she sang.

"Why am I not surprised?" he quipped.

"Because he's your- Hello," she beamed as she faced the man. "Can we help you?"

"I see we've run into each other again," Aaric commented. Gazing down at his mate, he couldn't help but smile. "Hi," he murmured.

Staring up into his eyes, Anton couldn't help but be blown away by his mate's beauty. His face was square, a chiseled jaw bone coming to a tip at the bottom. A thin, trimmed beard covered his face, but it was near impossible to not see the pearly white teeth aligning his mouth. His eyes were misty green like the forest on a foggy day. And his brown hair with specks of blond and red were prominent under the orange lights in the library.
