Ruby shuts Riley's bedroom window, rushes upstairs and ducks down the hallway to her bedroom door. She opens her bedroom door and once she enters her room, she grabs her weapon Crecent Rose off of her dresser, opens up her bedroom window and dive's out head first, flips in midair, and lands feet first on the ground in front of Riley's bedroom. She cries out into the woods, "Riley!"

Riley shouts, "I'm over here," from around the front of the house.

Ruby walks over from the right side of the Xao Long + Rose Household to the front; and sees her son practicing his fighting technique.. From Ruby's perspective her son is facing sideways. She walks up to him and say's, "Your fighting technique is all wrong, your wielding your weapon like it's a sword rather then a scythe."

"We'll that's my fighting style," Riley replies.

Ruby says in a serious tone of voice, "Do you wanna become a huntsman?"

Riley looks over to her mother with a surprised look on his face.

'Then I suggest you do the following exercises," says Ruby standing tall in front Of Riley ready to instruct.

"First, pull the grip of your scythe so that it is parallel to your right shoulder. Your gonna wanna have the blade of your weapon facing forward above you."

"Ok, so what now?" Says Riley.

"Put your left foot forward,"Ruby says; and Riley sets his left foot foreword. Then Ruby yells, "NOW SWING!!!" And Riley swings his massive scythe. "Excellent! Now do the exact same thing over again; only this time, put your right foot forward and swing from your left." Riley swings his scythe yet again. "Great. Starting today until the end of the week, I want you too spend at least an hour everyday practicing your striking ability." Ruby walks back inside the warmth of the Xao Long + Rose household.

Riley sighs but he's determined as ever to become a huntsman. He starts swinging his weapon; and he doesn't stop swinging his weapon for hours to come.

Everyday, Ruby would look out the front window and see Riley, practicing his fighting technique out in the cold. He would only ever come indoors to eat, sleep, drink, and go to the bathroom. It reminded Ruby when she was just as determined to become a huntress when she was Riley's age. Once everyday, Ruby would bring out a cup of hot coco for Riley so that he could warm himself up. He would be outside swinging his weapon around from dawn till dusk, regardless of wether it was snowing, freezing rain, or even a blizzard.

On the last day of the week, Ruby walks out over to her son who is practicing his striking abilities. She ready's Crescent Rose and raises it high into the sky, before striking down upon her child. Riley only had a split second to block his mother's attack.
