I snuggle deep into my burrow of pillows and blankets and let out a contented purr. God I love my bed, who needs boyfriends or any social interaction for that matter when beds exist.
I can distantly hear my mom and little sisters snores from across the hall. I smile softly thinking about them. I think my sister has to be the most adorable girl on the face of the earth. She has long blonde hair and gorgeous ocean blue eyes. She's so cute sometimes she reminds me of a sweet little doll. But she is definitely not sweet or passive. Well she is to her family and nice people, but oh gosh if you get on her bad side, man do I pity you. She's actually really intelligent for a 7 year old. But I'm smarter. After all I am 17, I would hope I'm smarter than a 7 year old.
I glance at the alarm clock on my bedside table. Glowing red numbers tell me it's past 3 am. I groan and snuggle further in my pillows, if that's possible, and wait for sleep to claim me.
After 20 minutes of tossing and turning, I eventually give up and just stare at the ceiling. My green eyes staring so hard I feel as if I could magically light the roof on fire with my intense gaze.
I hear a low squeak from downstairs, was that the door? It can't be Sammy, she never gets up in the night, she's too scared that the monster under her bed will grab her, I smile at my little sisters imagination.
Could it be mom? She doesn't usually get up either, but there are the odd nights when I hear her creep downstairs to get a glass of water or some food.
I listen intently, straining my ears for another sound. After a few moments of silence, I close my eyes and relax again. Must've just been the old house settling.
Not 5 minutes have I been lying down before I feel a damp cloth pressed against my mouth and nose. I bolt upright, trying to scream but the cloth stops me. I begin to feel dizzy and try to stop breathing, hoping not to breathe in any more chemicals, as I fight to stay conscious. I struggle but my arms are held behind my back with one of my attackers hands.
I feel my eyes droop and I try to scream, but it comes out muffled and quiet.
The heaviness of my eyelids is almost unbearable now as I quiet and slowly close my eyes. I feel the hand holding mine loosen and slowly turn to face my attacker.
Black starts to creep into my vision.
Electric blue eyes hold my own, but I can see nothing more as darkness claims my vision.
"I'm sorry kitten.."
I slump as unconsciousness claims me fully.
