Natalia's petite body was curled up in her boyfriend's, whose arm was loosely snaked around her. She lost focus from the television and found interest in listening to Loki's heart beats under her ear. She gently squeezed herself to him and loved the heat she earned from his solid warm body. She loved hearing him breathe and found her eyes slowly close from the rise and fall of his chest. Her eyes fluttered open when she felt him press a kiss to her forehead, and she lazily smiled. She leaned her head up and he bent his head down to give her a small smirk. "Do you remember the first time that we met? What was it, about five years ago?"

"Six." He corrected.

"I thought you were odd, but cute. A bit of a frosty ass at times, but cute." She smirked as she watched a frown etch on his sharp flawless face.

"Cute? Is that what crossed your head when we met? I believe my first impression was quite charming, wasn't it?"

Natalia made an unladylike snort, and he narrowed his eyes coolly at her.

"Well I apologize if I remember that night quite differently. Please, Talia, do grace me with your perspective."

"Oh I don't know, Loki, it's a really long and boring story." She just shrugged, looking up at him through her lashes. She was just messing with him, he knew.

Her breath hitched when his hands roamed upward from her hips, his fingers lightly carressing her skin. She narrowed her eyes into slits, glaring at him, as she felt the ticklish sensation of his touch. It was a warning, he was threatening her. Either she told or he would attack her with tickles.

Well well well. Someone wanted to play.

She slowly snaked her hand under his shirt and she swore she felt him shake for a moment. She smirked. "You tell yours first." She rasped seductively, quirking an eyebrow.

"What can I say? Other than the fact that I instantly fell in love with you, dear? You were there, before me--"

"You were watching me through the other side of the shelf, I remember." Her hand snaked further up, feeling solid muscle. "Creep." She smirked mischeviously.

"Well then. Do continue with your point of view of that night." He arrogantly raised his chin.

"Nuh-uh. You start. So it was May 15, 2012, and you saw me."

He sighed, giving in. He caught her wrist and pulled her hand from under his shirt. He kissed that hand and brought it up to his cheek, leaning into her touch. He closed his eyes momentarily before he began speaking. "Yes. May 2012, my darling . . ."

Natalia remembered being with her best friend that day.

It was snowing outside in Cambridge, and the two foreigners from Russia were in the warmth of a library in the freezing night. They were drinking their milky hot chocolates as they both read the back descriptions of the novels.

Yelena pursed her lips in a frown as she started on the first page of the book.

Natalia scowled, dissatisfied with her novel's back cover description.

"This is a romance novel." She said sourly.

Yelena smirked and looked at her. "What's wrong with that?"

"Look at the cover." Natalia showed her the front cover. "It looks like a thriller."

Yelena laughed. "Don't judge a book by it's cover they say."

Natalia rolled her eyes. "I didn't judge anything. I was misled."

"So you entered into the library . . ." Natalia watched Loki.
