Q: This book won't be the end of the series right?
A: So I've thought about it, and I had another story that I was going to write separate from TDC series, but I think that I can turn it into a fourth part. I haven't planned it out yet because unfortunately with this semester, I'm swamped with homework and working full time, I have zero free time. So there will be a fourth part, I just won't be planning it right now.
Q: What's your middle name?
A: I have gotten this question asked so many times at work, lol, I don't have one unfortunately, but I wish I did!
Q: Can you do a face reveal?
A: I've done so many haha!
Q: Yo @AllessandraSilis I know you've probably been asked where you got the inspiration for The Doll Collector... but what made you keep going? What made you want to make it into a whole series? Because whatever it is, I need some of that dedication for my own books
A: I think a similar question was asked in the first Q & A. This story started off as a Tap story and I had several people ask me if this was going to be made into a story. Since so many people asked, I decided to plan it out and see if it was something that I could possibly do. When that was finished I published the first chapter and was totally blown away by how successful it was. Turning it into a series was an easy choice, given that so many people enjoyed reading it. However, in terms of taking a story in the direction of series, it has to be something that you're invested in, something that you enjoy writing and that you love. I grow attached to my characters. It happened with Adrenaline and it happened with this story. You gotta love what you write and who you're writing about.
Q: What was your inspiration to write this series? And how did you manage to pull off school, extra curricular activities and writing? Also what are your goals that you are hoping will be achieved for this series?
A: It was really hard sometimes to balance writing with school and my internships, work, etc. I would take the semester off and then write during the holiday breaks. It was hard to concentrate on finals or midterms and stuff because I wanted to write. Sometimes I would write during class, which is bad, haha. Don't recommend that. Professors generally don't care what you're doing, but still pay attention in class! During the semester the urge was great, so I would only write on the weekends to get it all out and so I could focus on my work during the week. My goals for this series is to get it published. After this, there will be extensive editing in my spare time and then from there I'll probably start looking into it. My mom is ready to get behind me on this.
Q: Will there be more stories/books?
A: Of this series? There will be. Of other, different books? Definitely! I've actually been working on something the last few weeks that won't be ready for a few months, but I'm actually really excited to share.
Q: What difficulties did you face while writing this series?
A: It wasn't so much writer's block as it was that I wasn't happy with the way it was turning out. At times I was getting too comfortable and it showed, so I had to stop and then come back with something wild to get me going again. The main difficulty was keeping the story fresh haha
