she gasped as she tried to breathe in. her chest couldn't expand, and her throat felt like someone was choking her. she desperately tried to get some oxygen into her lungs and little by little it was working.

and then boom, the bathroom door opens and she hears some girls walk in, giggling and chatting. her throat closes up again. she struggles in the stall she is in to not faint there, and manages to last until the girls leave.
once again, little by little, her throat opens up, and she's staring to breathe.

and then her phone rings, and her eyes get wide open as she tried to find the vibrating object in her bag. she finds it, and the caller ID says Devin. tears already fall down her cheek as she sees his name. she slowly, and with shaking hands, answers the call.

"Hello?"

"You fucking bitch, where the hell are you?! It's already five minutes after the end of school. Drag your tiny little ass out, right now. God, you're such a fucking dumb excuse for a girlfriend."

"... I'm sorry," she replied softly, trying to gain some kind of control over her voice. "I'll be out soon."

"Hurry the fuck up," he finished as he hung up on her.

she took in a shaky breath, and stood up. she opened the door, stood in front of the sink and looked at herself in the mirror.

she looked away, grabbed her bag, and got out of the bathroom. and out of school. and she didn't get in her boyfriend's car. she kept walking and walking, even as he yelled at her from behind. but he eventually gave it. so she went her way.

she found herself near the bridge. she stood right next to it, gazing at the peaceful water.

she took the books out of her bag, one by one, and threw them down. and down they went. until they hit the water. she did the same for her bag. and then she took her phone, and did it too. she dropped it and watched it land with a splash.

and then she climbed up the little barrier fence thing, and stood there for a second.

"Oh no, love, don't do that! Get down, come on, look on the bright side of things and everything will be okay one day! It's all worth it in the end, honey, I promise!" she heard a woman shout at her.

she softly tilted her head to examine the woman. "Death is the end. There's no other end."

and with that, she closed her eyes. filled her lungs with air, and exhaled. and twisted her body and let the woman watch her fall down. and down she went. until she hit the water.
