Sometimes Love is worth the risk

Sara's POV

I sit down in my room alone and turn down a picture of Ava and I. A tear rolls down my cheek and I get up as the picture falls down. We broke up and it's all my fault. "Sorry to interrupt, Captain but we are getting haled by the Time Bureau," Gideon says and I walk to the bridge. "Put her on," I say and Gary is on the screen. "Hey, Captain Lance there is a meta-human. Agent Sharpe is coming with you because we need three people on the job and we trust Agent Sharpe and we need a Time Bureau agent to go with you." He says and I sigh "Okay whatever ?" I ask. "Well, you guys better get going in 2037 see ya!" He says shutting off. Zari, Ava and I get in the Jump Ship and we go to 2037. We go to a house and knock on the door. "Well, this is awkward," I say as the door opens. A 12-year-old girl is facing back. "Mick Someone's at the door." She says turning to us. "Mom? What are you doing here? And why do you look like my mom that was murdered 2 years ago." She points at me when she says her mom was murdered. "Who is your mom?" Zari asks as she looks at Ava. "Them two. Aunt Zari, you should know this." The girl says. "Wait I was murdered? And I am a Mom? How do I ever have time?" I say right before I faint.
Ava's POV

Sara faints and I look at Zari who is pinching herself thinking this is a dream. "Okay, can we come in?" I ask and she looks at me as if this was my house. "Yes you can Mom I mean it is your house." She says and we walk into a house with pictures of Sara, The girl and I and some wedding pictures of us. "So we got married?" I ask "Yeah, are you from the past or something?" The girl asks really seriously. "Since you are my daughter Yes I am from the past but technically the future. It's confusing. Anyways what is your name?" I ask with an idea of what her name might be. "Catie Laurel  Lance. You can call me Lori or Laurel." Laurel says. "I can't believe I married Sara," I say. "I can't believe she actually looks a lot like Laurel," Zari says. Suddenly Sara shoots up and looks at Laurel. "Hey... This is weird because I remember your funeral. Oh, god guys Mom from this time is coming in 5 minutes. What do you need?" "We are looking for a Meta-Human. And we detected it in this house." Zari says. "Come with me upstairs," Laurel says as we follow her to a Blue room. "I'm a Meta." She says and Zari gasps. "Wait for what? Aren't they illegal? I'm from 2042. They are illegal then." She nods and sits on her bed and I hear the front door close. "Hide!" She whispers and Zari goes under the bed while Sara and I go into the closet. "Sara. Did you see the pictures on the walls? We get married in the future." I say and she looks at me. "I know and I get murdered in 19 years." We hear a door open and she puts her hand over my mouth. "Hey, Laurel I have bad news ARGUS learned somehow that you are a Meta and we have to leave. Pack your things." I hear a voice say and I remove Sara's hand from my face. "Mom, Where are we going?" I hear Laurel say in a voice filled with sadness and fear. "The Waverider, Sweetie it's going to be okay. I can't go with you because they can track me and I don't want them to find me and you being there and I can't have that so pack up and Mick will bring you there." She says and I hear steps walking out of the bedroom and the door closing. Laurel opens the closet and Sara immediately hugs her as tears stream out of Laurel's eyes. Laurel pulls away and she packs her things. "Take this, it's something to remember me by," Sara says pulling out a knife from her pocket. "I don't want to lose you again, Mom." She says taking the knife and putting it in a bag. "You won't, but I can't promise I will survive. Promise me this though. You will be careful and find someone in life who cares. I'll see you someday." Sara as hugging her again as we climb out the window. "Let's go, Sara," I say holding on the edge of the outside window. She walks over and jumps out as I let go of the edge. I fall into Sara's arms and Sara smirks. "Wow," She says putting me down and I look at her. "Remember we aren't together anymore Ms. Lance." I say "Right Ms. Sharpe. Sorry." Sara says and Zari looks at me. "Wait, w-what? You guys broke up? That can change the timeline, Now that you know what happens to you and if you never get together something bad can happen. You could make your child never existed. Also, everyone was shipping you guys. Okay? Sorry I, It's New Year's Eve so coming to the party?" Zari asks and Sara looks at me and I nod. "Yes, I will be coming. I better go to the Bureau so I hope to see you at the party, Ms. Lance." I say going back to the Time Bureau.

Sara's POV

"So do you want to go to a party on your ship that your ex is on or lay on your bed thinking that your life sucks. Which one?" Zari sits down in the Library as I place my drink down on the table. "Really not an option just to train?" I ask as Zari shakes her head.  "You still like her and you don't want to go because that if you go you will end up kissing her and she won't like you anymore." "Right and If I don't go she will think I hate her or I am scared to go out to see my ex with Anachronisms or anything," I say as I put my hand on the table and stare at the screen with Anachronisms.  "You know, Sometimes, love is worth the risk. You should go to that party and get back together because if guys get together I won't be an Aunt. So go and do what you have to do." Zari says and I look at her and I hear a time courier open and we go over to the bridge. I see Ava. "Hey, guys. Sara, can we talk?" Ava asks and I lead her to another room. "What is it?" I ask and she walks forward. "I'm Sorry, Sara I shouldn't have broken up with you, I didn't realize it until we went to 2037 I-" I interupt her by kissing her and she kisses back. "I love you and that is never changing," I say and our lips collide again. We go to the party and we end up going to my room and have a fun time we kiss a lot. Once we pull away I look at the time. "Happy New Years Ava Sharpe It's 12:00! How did we get to this bed?" I say and she looks at me. "I don't know Sara."
