Now, I have a crush on somebody.
You may be thinking, "All other people have a crush, Mina. That doesn't make you any more unique than other people."
Well, it doesn't. But let me tell you, he was probably one of the most interesting crushes I've had (well, more, considering I've only ever had two crushes).
Kanashimi Aiko was about my age, and let me tell you one thing about him; he was... Annoying.
No, seriously, if you don't get used to his constant energy and general talkative...ness? Is that even a word? Whatever. Still, he was quite annoying if you have never met him in your life.
...
And that was why I liked him.
Hear me out, he's a really nice person once you get to know him. He's funny, kind, generous... And admittedly, a bit dumb if he doesn't catch onto things quickly.
He was basically a polar opposite of me. I don't know why, but over time, I slowly got more and more attracted to him. Obsessed? Maybe.
Then he blew me off.
Honestly, he was a really sweet guy, but the way he blew me off was kinda... Rude.
"I'm not talking to you again. Not ever," he said. I could not have been more shocked in my life.
It was a lie. He still talks to me. Though not as fondly as before. He mostly just ticks me off in one way or another.
"Absence makes the heart grow fonder," a wise man once said.
"Absence gives me a new point of view," I rephrase.
