mark brushed his teeth as he usually did in the morning after eating his breakfast. it was a saturday and the weather was calm, but the sun shined brightly. he fed moli her food before going to wash his face and body.
he checked his phone, it read 8:43 am. mark yawned and removed his shirt from his body, tossing it in his laundry bin. he removed the rest of his clothes, grabbing his towel and stepping into his shower.
mark was sitting on his couch, moli curled up next to him. he was watching his tv, just a boring news channel. when he heard his phone go off, mark gets confused. he barely had any friends, since he wouldn't consider the people he worked with friends. reaching towards his phone which was resting on the coffee table.
_____________
lee soomin (work):
heyy minhyung i was wondering if you'd like to go get dinner with me later tonight
———————mark furrowed his eyebrows as he read the message. mark shrugged. as much as he didn't like soomin, he had nothing better to do today so he replied with a simple "sure send me the details."
she later then replied with several emojis,
most likely expressing her happiness. mark rolled his eyes, and placed his phone back down.mark pet moli, and said to her, "my life is so boring, isn't it, moli?" the cat just started to purr, but that was enough to make mark smile.
mark stood up and walked towards his kitchen. he opened his refrigerator and grabbed a water bottle full of water. "hey, moli. do you think i should check the basement? i haven't been down there lately." while talking mark set the bottle onto the counter, making his way towards his basement. he opened the dark wood door slightly, before changing his mind and closing it.
mark walked into his room, his slippers making a small shuffling sound onto the hardwood floors. he looked at himself in the mirror, inspecting every aspect of his face. mark knew he was attractive, he grew up being told he was. it's nothing new. so he knew why soomin wants to take him to dinner. they never actually talked before. well, they never held a conversation before, since mark refuses to. in conclusion, the only reason soomin asked him to dinner was because the boy is hot.
he decided to take off his lounging clothes and pick an outfit that would make him presentable. yes, he didn't like soomin but he didn't want to look like he doesn't give a shit about his looks.
mark walked to his closet and pulled out a cream coloured sweater with a white dress shirt to go under it. he decided to keep his black jeans on.
after changing, he approached his mirror, to fix his hair. he then proceeded out of his room back to the living to kill time before he had to go to dinner.
mark threw on his grey jacket as well as his black shoes. he puts his keys in his pocket, along with his phone, ignoring the constant messages from soomin. "stupid bitch," mark muttered. he kneeled down and picked moli up, kissing her on the head. "i'll be back later tonight, baby," and set her down.
when he was on his way over to his car, mark reviewed all the messages soomin sent him. he ignored most of them, until he noticed where she sent mark her address.
he just placed his phone away and began to drive, eyes never really leaving the road.
when mark arrived at soomin's address, he pulled into her driveway. he sent the girl a simple "i'm here" message and waited in the car with an emotionless but cold expression.
his hand gripped around the stirring wheel. his eyes looking blankly forward. he let out a small sigh, moving his head back. he was waiting.
for a skanky, office worker who had a strange infatuation on her own colleague.
mark wasn't stupid but she was for thinking that he didn't know. she thought she was smooth and funny and pretty and easy-going.
no.
she was annoying, a pain in the ass, and difficult to even look at.
but i suppose that's just mark's opinion.
the minute mark stopped looking forward, his passenger door opened and a skinny, chemical haired 25 year old sat in the car. mark didn't really look at her mainly since he did not at all care.
soomin did in fact, lean over towards to try and smell him. and she could not deny he smelled wonderful.
mark just ignored her.
"minhyung, you look very attractive tonight," soomin spoke, almost trying to sound seductive and sexy or something.
mark only rolled his eyes, not replying in words. he pulled out of the driveway, never caring to look at soomin. she just sat and pouted her red orange lips, huffing in annoyance about being ignored.
soomin really couldn't wait until dinner was done.
