You're in your bedroom laying across the bed on your stomach with the wind gently blowing your open curtains. You let out a heavy sigh and turn around to look out the window.

The sun is setting and you hear some car horns outside of people wanting to get home after a long day of work, groups of kids running and laughing, dogs barking as they have their daily walk.
Aphrodite is in a chair she's claimed, it's across from your bed and midday the sun shines perfectly on her.

You're pretty sure Aizawa let you have this room because of how the sun shines into it. You close your eyes and embrace the feeling of the relaxed setting.
When opening your eyes you take a breath and stand up. You walk to your door and carefully turn the handle.

"Dad?" You call softly.
He opens his bedroom door and takes some headphones out.
"Yeah sunshine?" He asks. You smile and walk over to him before giving a simple hug.

He places his hand on your head like always and scruffs or smooths your hair depending on the situation, for this situation he smooths it. He's exceedingly taller than you, you can't help but notice it each time you have a hug. He also radiates with safety, or at least you get that feeling. His warm hugs that are always there whenever you need or want one. Right now is a good example, he doesn't need to talk or sit you down. Just a simple hug to make things better.

When your mother died you originally wanted no contact with anyone, you helped move things from the old house to the new one but you didn't talk, Aizawa tried to cheer you up but he did the right thing in waiting for you to be ready to talk. He's been patient with you even when you've pushed his limits. Aizawa likes that about you.

You make him try new things and you test to see how much he can take, he feels proud of not only you but himself whenever he sees you being happy or doing good work, the fact that he knows you wouldn't be here without him makes him smile and feel like a real dad.
He never thought he'd be a parent, even when he was a kid he was sure to die alone. He thought getting a job at U.A would be the closest he could get in changing kids lives and now he's here, hugging his adopted kid. The kid who's parents never properly looked after her, the kid who's been in horrible and stressful situations, the kid who hated themselves the most out of everyone she knew and hid herself with her quirk.
She did so many dumb things in the past, But even though some of her decisions are spur of the moment and completely unexpected; it's what Aizawa needs.

You always think Aizawa looks after you just to make sure you don't die when really, Aizawa would probably die without you too. He would rather die than live knowing he could of stopped your death.
When he saw your mother's dead body he knew that you would commit suicide too if your limits were pushed. It scares him and has given him a few sleepless nights. That's why he accepts hugs like this, to make sure you're okay. To give you what you need whenever you need it.

"I love you Dad." You remind.
"I love you too sunshine, now go to bed. School tomorrow." He says with a grin.
"What!" You exclaim and take a step back "it's like eight o'clock!--"
"It's half nine and you get tired when you stay up past ten. Clean your teeth and go to bed." He crosses his arms and lean against the doorway.

You stick your tongue out as you leave and Aizawa does the same before slowly shutting his door.
"Love you honey." He reminds.
"Love you too Dad." You say in a grumpy tone.

Quickly Aizawa's door opens again.
"Hey." He says to get your attention.
"What?" You ask genuinely curious as you have no idea what he'll add.
"Mic's giving your class an unexpected English quiz tomorrow, all the answers are A except for the third which is C. Night Sunshine." He says before closing the door again.

This time you laugh and get ready for bed with a peaceful hum in your head.
