A forward (of sorts).
I would like to say this book is a journey of discovery, where a young boy sees the world beyond his comfy middle (lower) class bedroom in the heart of England's commuter belt, and returns a young adult ready to be a tool used by society for the better.
However it is not, instead this book charts a period in England and Pakistan, where great change was happening in the both countries, not that Michael gave a stuff about the world around him, all he wanted was a Sony Walkman, and to take his green body warmer to one of the hottest countries on the globe.
This book is loosely based on true events, however some of the names and situations have changed to protect the innocent, and the stupid.
