Chapter 3:questions

I woke up the next morning to the sound of my alarm signalling me to get ready for school.I was a sophomore at Cambridge university. I was even the valedictorian of my class at high school so I was given scholarship to study Architecture at Cambridge university,which is a one hour drive from home.'mom and dad could have been so proud of me' she thought,sadly they weren't around to even witness her high school graduation.

                    After some minutes I was ready,I took one last glance at myself in the mirror before I went downstairs.As I walked towards the kitchen the aroma of brewed coffee filled my  nostrils.Emma stood next to the counter in her uniform making some coffee.Every morning Emma would make me and her some beverage like hot chocolate or some times made coffee for us both.of them while I made us some breakfast.

"Hmmm,smells delicious.you making coffee today ?.I asked.

"Yep, latte.she replied.

I walked towards the fridge to get some milk,eggs to make some pancakes

"Lily we Need to talk.you haven't said anything about yesterday"

"What do you want me to say ?.The best thing we can do is to stay undetected.I really don't want any trouble.
  
Despite being close sisters lily and Emma saw the world differently,whilst lily was and introvert and feared the world,Emma was outspoken and bold and had no fear.

"I think is time we meet Mrs.Lockwood,remember mom said we should meet her whenever we needed something?."There is probably something she could do for us"

"I don't think so She can't help Emma,we wouldn't want to get ourselves killed.

'I am tired of being a coward lil.our parents were brave and till their last breath,you and I we both know we can't protect ourselves for long.we have to do something".

"The only thing we need to do is keep ourselves safe and live in the shadows".The last thing lily wanted to do was face an army of cold hearted rylaids and get herself killed,All she had ever wanted is graduate from college,get a job and make a living for her and Emma.

"I will give you sometime to thi......."a Loud bang suddenly interrupted her.the duo both rushed to see what was the cause of the sound.Almost immediately a tall man appeared at the doorway wearing a dark coloured jeans and black leather jacket,his eyes glowed red.he instantly spotted the girls staring at him rooted to the ground.

"Hey ladies" He spoke in a thick Scottish accent.

"I am not here to to hurt you,I am just hear to talk"he spoke again.He raised a brow infinitesimally obviously trying to convince the both of them.

Almost instantly both lily and Emma began to flee towards the back door with short bouts of speed just to see him appear in front of both of them.

"It seems you want it the hard way,is it?.he asked.

" leave this instant or I call the police"Lillian muttered.

"Ha,The police.I don't think we would want to involve a bunch of worthless mortals in this.But if you insist I would be so willing to rip their throats one by one"He spoke with so much pride and confidence..

He looked deadly.and it was obvious he meant every word he uttered.

" how about we ripping your own throat,You cold hearted bastard" Emma said.I

A small sadistic smile crept up his lips.His eyes expressionless just like all rylaids.They always looked artificial and without Expression ,cool,calm and collected "Hmmm I starting to like your nerve.you seem like a tough one."

In less than a Millisecond two people both wearing hoodies stepped up behind him.Holy carp How could I have missed That?.ryliads never move alone they are always in packs.

"Oh my God Emma we need to get outta here".I instantly reached for her hand and pulled her towards a door on my left.I locked the door but I knew that wouldn't hold them for even a Minute.

"Lily I think our only option is to jump out of the window"Emma suggested.

" Okay let's do this.I will countdown to three and the we'll jump okay? " our condo was on the 40th floor.though I knew I could do it I've jumped from a building this high before.

"One"I began.

"Two".
I took a deep breath and........

" Three"
I jumped and landed right on my feet and Emma landed a few  feets away.We started running across the street we didn't stop until we were sure we're safe.

"You were right.let's go see Mrs.Lockwood"I said to Emma.

" ofcourse....you may not admit it but I'm always right anyway. " She kept on murmuring some words about how great she was in predicting the future and that I should always take her seriously if we wanted to survive this.
I chucked as she kept on throwing her tantrums.wow she's always got a knack for making smile regardless of my mood.I really loved this girl.

"Will you stop laughing and move your lazy butt?.I would really love to take this serious considering our near death experience and leaving a bunch of strangers in our home who broke into our house with the sole purpose of trying to get us killed or kidnapping us.whatsoever it wasn't gonna be good.

"Okay let's get on a bus"
The bus ride was quiet.Both Emma and I said very little.We were both lost in our thoughts.thinking about what the future holds for us.for how long will we be able to keep of these rylaids who want nothing but bad for all belaindairs for reasons I was completely oblivious to.I have a lot of questions which I hope Mrs.Lockwood would have answers to.
