Chapter 1

"AMBER!" Samuel shouts while I'm penny boarding down a small slope. I ignore him because I know he will beg for his turn.

I scream at the top of my lungs as I go downhill. Suddenly I bump into this guy. He caught me taking a step back as he nealy fell from the slight impact.

He's tall, probably 6 ft.. Gorgeous hazel brown eyes.. Tanned from the summer sun.. Shirtless.. And his abs.. WOW.

"Amber right?" he said with slight confusion in his eyes, I felt a huge smile on my face.

"Yeah!" I said excitedly.

"I remember you. You're in my English class, right?"

"Yeah, you're Jeremy Hudson, the most popular guy in school!"

He giggled. "You know.. I'm gonna be totally honest.. I've always liked you."

"Seriously?" I said trying not to show that I had a crush on him ever since I first laid my eyes on him.

"Yeah.. Do you want to.. maybe............" His voice slowly trails off.

"Come again?" I asked.

"I said....."

*BEEP*BEEP*BEEP*

I woke up in shock to the sound of my alarm ringing. It is 7 o'clock in the morning. I groaned as I reached for my phone to see what day it is. 26th of June.

"Shit.." I murmured.

I forgot to turn off the fucking alarm clock and it's summer vacation. Great way to start the holidays, Amber. I thought to myself with sarcasm.

I kept replaying the words from my dream in my head.

"You know.. I'm gonna be totally honest.. I've always liked you."

"I've always liked you." I sighed.

I'm hoping this summer will change, that Jeremy will maybe notice my existence. He is just too busy caught up with his girlfriend and his popularity.

Every summer, I have a part time job in a stall near the beach selling beach equipment, snacks and beverages. It is actually my uncle Joe's own store. I'm kind of positive of seeing Jeremy often in the beach because I live in an island that has only one beach apart from the dog beach where the only difference is that everyone is allowed to bring their dogs.

I quickly dialed Samuel. He should probably be awake by now.. Could be.. Maybe.. Hopefully?
